I think we need to have clear code formatting to minimize potential areas for Git to see diffs.I noticed that your code has a lot of 8 space tabs, which get chopped in half when I use the NetBeans auto-formatting.
At the very least, I'm thinking we should both be on 4 space tabs, at best, we both use NetBeans for consistency. I find it's very handy for HTML5 projects as it has a builtin ability to "run" your website by handling the web server for you.
(No need for manually copying to XAMPP or working in your test bed)
Currently the PHP on register.php will create a new user entry in the database even without complete information.
I'll be looking to add validation via PHP (and/or JS) this week.
Found a few bugs in addition to residence not saving (which you pointed out earlier today). If you did mention these as well today, my bad.
Tested both on the server and locally. Can provide screenshots if needed.
While testing on XAMPP without NetBeans integration, I ran into an error on Chrome where the canvas disappears.
I induced it several times by creating a node, and then trying to select the node without moving the mouse.
Firefox and Safari are not affected as I have tested this on them as well and they perform fine.
So I was using a library computer this morning, testing the delete icons on the CS server (which worked in IE, FF, & Chrome btw - not sure why there is a huge inconsistency between systems). I went to index.php and it immediately redirected me without accepting credentials or anything. Managed to stop the redirect to capture a screenshot for you:
