Number of records as axis

Add the number of records to the Y-axis drop-down menu

Normalize records by area

Add option to normalize the number of records by country area in plot 1 (potentially as a tick box, there is some information on area through time)

Add buttons to display the highlight analyses, with pre-selected settings for both plots

Display short info on selected political variables

add explanatory text for the selected variables in plot 1

colour by region

plot 1: add option to use region as colour

y-axis protected areas

standardize the y-axis for the protected area variable in plot two, to the overall maximum (i.e. Venezuela)

Possibility to view the diagrams in full screen

It would be nice to click a button, and then the diagram is enlarged and displayed in full screen mode.
If I open the page in the browser, the actual diagram part is about 1/3 of the screen.

Can not download vdem data

Makefile instruction can not find the vdem data file:

No fallback for crash

When the app crashes it shows a blank screen, no option to go back or recover any of the previous state.

Highlight buttons deselect

After a highlight has been selected, it needs to be deselected when the user changes variable in scater plot or country in dualchart.

Countries breaking the web app

There are some countries in the vdem dataset that are currently breaking the web app.
Can they be removed from the dataset, or do we have to fix the display?

PSG
SML
VDR
XKX
YMD
ZZB

Add GitHub Action to deploy the latest stable version

Maybe we can add a continuous delivery system to deploy the latest version on a stable branch automatically to the surge website. @danieledler what do you think?
