I have busybox installed. I tried executing each of the commands manually

So it seems like there are multiple problems behind this one.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use Market enabler
2. Try to find a paid and protected app (like Sprite Backup, My Backup Pro,
or Pure Calendar Widget)
3. Be sad because it doesn't show up
Market enabler is great, the beta interface is wonderful thanks. I am able
to download paid apps, however, it seems there are some apps that aren't
available. I think this has to do with them being copy-protected/drm'd in
some fashion.
For example, Sprite Backup, My Backup Pro, and Pure Calendar Widget are all
unavailable. Market links:
market://search?q=pname:com.spritemobile.backup
market://search?q=pname:com.rerware.android.MyBackupPro
market://search?q=pname:org.koxx.pure_calendar
I have tried all the 4 different settings in Market Enabler, including the
one for T-Mobile with the extra 0s. They all work to show me paid apps but
not these paid/protected apps.
Can this be confirmed/explained? Is there a way around this?
Thank you!

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use market enabler
2. Use network location (Google Maps, etc.)
3. Wrong/no location is displayed
Network location works by querying Google's databse with the network and
cell ID. Spoofing MCC/MNC interferes with this; apparently cell IDs are
only unique within a given network.
The solution is to only set gsm.sim.operator.* and not gsm.operator.*. This
works for me, and although I'm not 100% sure, I'd argue that it should
always work, because otherwise one wouldn't have access to paid apps when
roaming in another country.

I have sim free version of HTC Hero (bought form expansys) which
I rooted according to this procedure:

After running market enabler "succesfully" I still can not see paid apps.
After some investigation I found out that system properties were set
apropriately.
After trying the procedure done by the enabler by hand in console I
discovered that I do not have "grep" program. I serached, killed and
deleted the vending cache manually. After that I was able to see the paid apps.
Would it be possible to parse the PID in the code instead of using grep?
