pixelcraft

A web app for converting video game sprite PNGs or GIFs into cross-stitch patterns or a craft of your choice. pixelcraft features an interactive slider for reducing the number of colours (while updating the image in real time). In addition, it maps the RGB colours to a craft of your choice, including embroidery floss for cross-stitching (DMC and Anchor), Lego, Crayola, and Perler or Hama beads. Patterns can be exported as PDFs for saving and printing.

Switching to another image breaks colour key table until palette drop-down is changed

Colour key needs to display symbols (pixel decorations) when this option is active

Disadvantages over Spriter

• ability to print
• ability to save
• ability to view other peoples work
• ability to select size
• no maximum image size
• no 'frame' (as in the lines around stitches) [there kinda is a white one, but i'd prefer black.]
• no symbols over colours (similar colours can get really hard to differentiate)
• no 'count' on the sides to tell you how many stitches
