ai-chip's Issues

Which benchmark is used for those chips in Brown color?

Hi,
On 'AI Chip Landscape' image, there're two highlight popular benchmarks which are MLPerf in Blue color and AI-Benchmark in pink, so which benchmark is used for those chips in Brown color, such as 'Edge TPU' chip of Google, 'Brainwave' chip of Microsoft, etc. ? Thanks.

Furiosa AI

Furiosa AI, a Korean fabless startup developing AI inference accelerator, is missing. Their FPGA performance is published in MLPerf v0.5.

BenchCouncil AI Benchmarks is not mentioned.

The BenchCouncil AI benchmarks are by far the most comprehensive AI benchmark suites covering datacenter , IoT, edge, and HPC.

International Open Benchmark Council (BenchCouncil) is a non-profit international organization, which aims to promote the standardization, benchmarking, evaluation, incubation, and promotion of Chip, AI, Big Data, Block Chain, and other emerging techniques.

BrainChip is not mentioned

BrainChip Inc (CA. USA) was the first company to offer a Spiking Neural processor, which was patented in 2008 (patent US 8,250,011). The current device, called the BrainChip Accelerator is a chip intended for rapid learning. It is offered as part of the BrainChip Studio software. BrainChip is a publicly listed company as part of BrainChip Holdings Ltd.

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgomp-l:libstdc++.so.6 in orange pi 4B SPR2801S gyrfalcontech

I finally managed to fix the python-numpy and python-opencv problems. Following the guide in here, cd Apps/Demo

sudo make -j4
g++ -o demo -std=c++11 main.cpp -DLINUX -I ../../Include/ \
 \
-L ../../Lib/Linux/aarch64/ -lGTILibrary-static -l:libftd3xx.so -Wl,-rpath="/home/orangepi/Desktop/testing/GTISDK-Linux_aarch64_v4.5.1.0/Apps/Demo"/../../Lib/Linux/aarch64 -lgomp\
-l:libstdc++.so.6 -pthread -ldl
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgomp-l:libstdc++.so.6
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [GNUmakefile:36: all] Error 1

It's not about installing lgomp or libstdc++6, as I already have them. But I am really not sure what is going on. I have been trying to do symbolic links to /usr/lib, but still unsuccesful.

Canaan (Kendryte) is not mentioned

On September 6, 2018, Canaan Inc. released an AI chip named Kendryte K210.

Kendryte is a series of AI chips which focuses on IoT.

The Kendryte K210 is a system-on-chip (SoC) that integrates machine vision and machine hearing. Using TSMC's ultra-low-power 28-nm advanced process with dual-core 64-bit processors for better power efficiency, stability and reliability. The SoC strives for "zero threshold" development and to be deployable in the user's products in the shortest possible time, giving the product artificial intelligence.

Kendryte K210 is intended for the AI and IoT markets, but is also a high-performance MCU.

Kendryte in Chinese means researching intelligence. The main application field of this chip is in the field of Internet of Things. The chip provides AI solutions to add intelligence to this.

  • Low cost
  • Machine Vision
  • Machine Hearing
  • Better low power vision processing speed and accuracy
  • KPU high performance Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) hardware accelerator
  • Advanced TSMC 28nm process, temperature range -40°C to 125°C
  • Firmware encryption support
  • Unique programmable IO array maximises design flexibility
  • Low voltage, reduced power consumption compared to other systems with the same processing power
  • 3.3V/1.8V dual voltage IO support eliminates need for level shifters

orange pi 4B SPR2801S gyrfalcontech

I bought orange pi 4B because it includes gyrfalcontech SPR2801S chip,
Wanted to register their site to use this chip

here is the response:

Gyrfalcon’s Developer Portal. Please note, portal access is restricted to companies only. We do not process requests originating from free email accounts.
If you are with a company, kindly reply back from your corporate email address and we will quickly validate and provide login credentials.

although orange pi claims tensorflow, pytorch support, this chip is unusable for diy community. I suggest to remove their names, since people like me thinks it is a free platform like arduino and buy their unusable chips.
