Doesn't import full size image if linked to it

Pulls whatever's in the img src, but if that's wrapped in a link to the full size, it'll still just link back to wherever it lives (wordpress.com for example, if you were importing a site from there).

Conversion ended in 404 error

The conversion for the following HTML code ended in a 404 error:

title and alt not imported into media library

The media tool worked fine and correctly imported this previously external picture to which already before title and alt were given.

When I look inside the media library http://snbchf.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/s640x48010.png
I see that title and alt are not imported.

I wonder why you do not import these two attributes into the media library ?
To find again these images when I want to reuse them is really difficult without any of the attributes.

Creating duplicate entries for custom post type

Using Media Tools with a CPT and external URIs to set Featured Image results in duplicate entries.

External image not imported

The following external image did not get imported:

When you open the image directly, it says permission denied.
Interestingly I can view the image inside the WP blog without problems.

Import content images for specific post, page or category????

Hi,
Thanks for such a nice tool, I really like it for installing demo data on my local server, as its faster to load images from local server (instead of them being loaded from external source).

I have been wondering about this, since last couple of months (whenever I use this plugin), can I import for specific posts, pages etc???

Any plans for including this feature?

Issues with has_post_thumbnail()

Hi,

I was having issues on a site with has_post_thumbnail() returning true even if the post did not have a Featured Image. The following fix (as recommended in http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/has_post_thumbnail) worked for me.

Replacing has_post_thumbnail with '' != get_the_post_thumbnail on line 409 of media-tools.php seemed to do the trick.

Automation via Cron Job

Automation of importing external images and setting featured images can be implemented with the help of Cron jobs if a hook is provided to outside.

Media tools works perfect, but there is a bug which is very important for me.
I imported many posts from LiveJournal to Wordpress with Livejournal Import (LJ import version as June 2012),

but your media tool cannot convert images from these imported posts.
E.g the Log:
Will the EUR/CHF never rise over 1.22 again ?
