Dual monitor setup: One is occasionally going dark

Hi there. I'm having an issue using my dual monitor setup on Windows 7. The multiple display mode is set to extension (namely "Extend these displays"). Sometimes when I run the screensaver only one of the displays (and it's always a different one) is showing the aerial while the other one is just going dark. Is there a relevant solution to this issue? Thanks

Video not scaling

Please add option scale video (cover, contain and no-resize), i get letterboxes around the video on all sides.
Windows 10, Screen res 2560x1440.

Black bars on 1440p

Using the Aerial screensaver in Windows 7 with a 1440p resolution, the screensaver is displayed in the middle of the screen at 1080p surrounded by black bars.

Running saver prompts Norton to declare suspicious behavior - SONAR.Heuristic.138

Running the saver on Windows 10 causes Norton to quarantine the saver .scr file on some computers. (1 of 2 in my office).

Feature request - Dreamscene

Any way we can use this as a desktop wallpaper (like dreamscene we had for windows 7)

Aerial Screensaver Windows 10 Bootcamp

Hi Dmitry, thanks so much for the screensaver.

I have a Macbook (12") 2015 and have the screen saver running with no issues on OSX.
Via bootcamp I also run the machine with Windows 10.
I am having trouble getting the screensaver to run in windows 10 and have the following error message..

I have tried all of the suggestions in the FAQ but nothing is working.
Any help to resolve this would be hugely appreciated as I would love to have them running in windows.

Installed Successfully However Screen Goes Black If Previewed.

I am on Windows 7 64 bit With screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 two monitors.
I installed screensaver successfully by right clicking but nothing is shown when screensaver is started.
Does this require active internet connection to work? I am guessing from looking other comments.

Most of the time it goes in (Not Responding Mode) as shown.

Malware Detected!!!

Every time I click the link to download the .ZIP, I get a Malware detected message through windows and it deletes the file. Shame because on my MAC they look amazing.

blank screen

Hi

I have tried this screensaver and I get a blank screen when it shows up. I have an internet connection, but that connection goes through a transparent proxy. When I goto the video file directly (copy/paste from the apple JSON file) I can download and see the video, but through the screensaver - it does not work.

Not sure if this is a connection issue ? or something else.

Lots of playlists created

I found one weird issue. It seems Aerial is creating lots and lots of playlists called Aerial in my default music folder which then appear in Groove.

The app freezes~

I have installed Windows Media Player in the control panel, but when I preview, the screen freezes~

Scaling of screensaver

It would be great to have some scaling options for the videos (No scale/Stretch/Fill). I have black bars on every side of the video on a 3440x1440 display and would opt to have the video fill my screen (aka no black bars).

Google Chrome cast integation

if possible, it'd be nice to have the video casted on TVs as well.

i have a Windows 10 Pro x64 and always is there a Error Message while the Screensaver is active.

but where are the caches?

can i download those files, and use 'em offline? cause i'm in china, the stream speed sometimes sucks (right now i'm using a VPN, but it got bandwidth limit)

Feature Request: .exe that plays videos

It would be great to have a normal resizable program window, maybe e fullscreen button, so you can watch them on second monitor while working on first one.

Main monitor has black borders

I have four monitors with different resolutions. would be nice if the videos always filled the monitors without black borders (touch from outside frame not inside frame so to speak)

It seems like Aerial doesnt delete the video playlist it creates when it runs

In "groove music" down the left hand plane aerial seems to have created alot of playlists repeatedly when the screen saver starts

Occasional Windows Media Player errors

The screensaver will work fine for days, then suddenly I will get a Windows Media Player error which I will need to click and then the screensaver closes. Not sure if this has been reported before but it has happened several times. Any fix?

Feature request: Time display overlay

I love to let Aerial run on my OSX machines with its built-in clock laid over the screensaver.

Alas Windows doesn't have the same feature, so could it be integrated directly into the Windows version maybe? Personally I'd prefer it to retain the look of the OSX time display (and its randomly switching position.

WMP fails to load videos

Aerial Screen Saver doesn't work for me. I am running Windows 7 Pro 64bit. I get the following error from WMP:

I tried loading the Aerial.wpl playlist in VLC and it runs fine there so I thought it was a codec issue. I downloaded the codec pack for WMP but still no love.

It could just be a problem with my computer but it would be great if newer versions of Aerial support other media players like VLC.

Unknown Error

Hi, I used a 64 bit Windows 10 OS. When I tried to install Aerial Screen Saver. The System Screen Saver was not responding after a while. As a result the screen saver turned the whole screen dark when it was triggered. May I Know why is that so? Thank you.

Monitor isn´t turning off

of I use Aerial. Although timer is set to 20min the monitor isn´t turning off anymore to go in energy saving mode. WIN 10 64bit

SOLVED: Generates additional .wpl files in Playlists folder

Excellent screensaver, runs really well on Win 10.
However using it appears to create a folder named Playlists with multiple .wpl files, all named in a similar form: Aerial (x).wpl, or Aerial (xx).wpl where 'x' is an ascending number.
I don't mind the creation of this Playlists folder and files but I don't appear to have any choice over where the folder is created. On my PC it gets created inside another folder I use exclusively for MP3 albums. My audio software picks up the .wpl files and tries to list them as playlists which I do not want.

Is the location of this Aerial folder something I can already control (but haven't understood how) or could it be made an option in future releases?

PS: Windows Defender blocking the screensaver all the time, and i also turn it off, but nothing happend when i try to preview the screensaver

Finally, found the reason why i got a black screensaver

as u mentioned, this scr need WMP, so it can function properly

I did find if I disable AMD Crossfire, the WMP play fine, and so the scr (if I enable Crossfire, WMP occurr errors with playing any video files)

anyway, im happy i can use this scr at last...

also, Aerial Screensaver for Mac got "Caching Support & Offline Mode - Beta"

Problems with windows 10

Sorry but i'm not a programer and i can't help you in this. In windows 10 x64 don't work your saver, it's freeze and return to desktop screen.

BitDefender blocking it.

When I unzip the file, BitDefender immediately delete it.
Although I can turn off BitDefender to run the screen saver, it is not possible to disable it every time I need a screen saver.
Is there a work around to prevent that?

Artemis Virus Packed with the .scr download

Avoid downloading the .scr file, it contains the Artemis trojan virus

Caching

Keeping the downloaded videos somewhere. Would be nice so you don't use up internet bandwidth every time your screensaver activates - it's a little annoying for other people using the same connection.

Getting blank screen. Tried all steps mentioned. Also, doesnt run when changing extension to .exe as well.

When running on a 4k display it doesn't auto stretch to full screen or at least give an option. That would be great. Thank you!

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise detects & deletes Aerial.scr as Artemis!45E318138285 (Trojan)

On Monday, 11/16/2015, McAfee VirusScan Enterpise 8.8 with DAT 7986.0000 (Nov. 15, 2015) detected Aerial.scr as Artemis!45E318138285 (Trojan) and deleted it.

C:\Windows\System32\SettingSyncHost.exe C:\Users\user\downloads\aerial.scr Artemis!45E318138285 (Trojan)

Installed successfull, but can not be used.

I right clicked Aerial.scr and choose Install, there was no error occured.

But under the Screen Saver Settings, I didn't found any screensaver named AerialScreenSaver.

What's the problem?

BTW, my os is Win7 64-bit.

Hi, the screensaver is loading a lot of data down. In the last week it was 33GB. is this the normal behavior, beacause it is streaming the videos? WIll it be possible to limit the bandwith
