Ok. After following the instructions on the PCF docs here https://docs.pivotal.io/pivotalcf/1-10/devguide/services/using-vol-services.html#create it works.

There it says to use uid and gid 1000 when binding the service instead of 0, as specified on this site.

cf bind-service pora myVolume -c '{"uid":"1000","gid":"1000","mount":"/var/volume1"}'

Might be worth to update the docs here?

Yes, thanks for this. I had a nagging suspicion that UID 0 was probably bad to have in the readme, as the root uid is almost never a good thing to use.

We'll update the readme shortly.
