keysim's Issues

Unhandled Rejection (TypeError): Cannot read property 'base' of undefined

I occasionally hit this error when I try to npm start.

It doesn't happen 100% but happen very often; sometimes I just open another port and that would work, but most of the time this issue persists, then just randomly disappears once in a while.

Would love to get a workaround/solution for this; I have tons of colorways to add ๐Ÿคฉ

[Feature Request] Drag and drop image/svg on to a key

I thought it's a good idea to make the keys some kind of a frame to automatically apply the image to it, or better yet to make it have a cropper. I'd like to help if I can but currently I'm having trouble on which file to start

.VSCODE?

I don't think the .vscode should be in the repo.

Split Keyboard Support

Would be useful to add support for split keyboards such as Ergodox, Moonlander, Kinesis Advantage, and Corne

More ortho layouts

As an ortho keyboard user, I think it would be awesome to be able to have a nice ortho layout bigger than the 2 offered.

(can't tell my size but it is a typematrux)

what are the requirements to run this project?

I have a project in mind that can use this keyboard simulator but it seems that every time I tried to install it gives me an error, and that got me thinking.

what are the requirements for this project (such as node ver, etc) I tried so hard to run this project after cloning it with no luck

Colorway filter does not reset

The colorway filter does not reset after clicking on "X".

image

Also is there a way for us to submit colorways to be added to the site?
Overall awesome site to give a visualization on how certain sets would look on our keyboards.

support for buying

it would be great if when you finish designing it you could order it with some custom keyboard designer with all the specifications

Cannot edit Colorway JSON in Advanced Section

I'm unable to edit the data inside of the Colorway JSON. Whenever I type in the box or attempt to paste an update, the corresponding keys on the render press, but no text makes it to the box.

Highlighted keys use default legends

When Highlighting is turned on in the Test tab, the highlighted keys use the default legend style and sub legends. I feel like it would make more sense if the highlighted keys maintained the current chosen legends.

On a related note, it seems highlighted keys just stay highlighted forever? To get them to go back to normal you have to change one of the settings in the Options tab. Perhaps they should reset when you leave the Test tab or turn off highlighting?

editor colorways

Can't change the color using hex values with the color editor. Changes to all 0s when you hit backspace or try to insert a hex value.

96 Layout request

Ahh title i guess.
I would like to request a 96% choice if possible.
I believe the below are probably the most common 96 layouts, the first probably the most common.

Great stuff! ๐Ÿ‘

Support for ISO-variations

We ISO-users are, without a doubt, a minority. It's understandable if the project doesn't want to support other layouts than ANSI, but as a swede I'd really love support for ISO.

It might open uncomfortable doors however, as some might request AZERTY support and stuff like that.

Getting errors and vulnerabilities

I tried to clone and run "npm install" However, there are multiple vulnerabilities. When I try to run, it says "./src/three/key/geometry.js
Attempted import error: 'Face3' is not exported from 'three' (imported as 'THREE')."

Does anyone have experience with that?

Custom Scene Background (Image)

While designing my desk setup I've been looking through various mousepad designs that might fit my planned kb build.

Then I had the idea to open up photoshop and overlay the keysim export .png to images of my mousepad choices.

Just thought it would be very convenient if there was a similar feature in keysim where you can place a custom image as background (and even possibly control the scaling/placement?

I could even try contributing this feature myself if I find the time to study the project stack.

Any interest?
