Can you try building the package from source? Ie just call pip install .
on a clone. FWIW deeptime is available on conda-forge and already updated to python 3.12, which puzzles me a bit (see conda-forge/deeptime-feedstock/pull/24). In any case, I will look into it shortly.

I can't build it from the source, it's fine for linux, but for my Mac, it goes wrong. I can't find the version for arm64 Python3.12 on conda-forge.
