[OS X Yosemite] In grid view "play" etc. buttons are visually glitching

When you hover over a game in grid view and the pull the mouse away, parts of the button stay there for a few seconds. Not very annoying, but still a bug.

Suggestion/Bug: Centered "up arrow".

On the very top when you have the Library, Community and "insert name here" tabs the arrows from under is only centered on Store. Is it possible to make them all centered?

[OS X Yosemite] Play Button has visual artifacts

The green 'play' button has red artifacts on it when viewing on a Retina MacBook Pro 15" 2012 - not sure if it persist on other hardware. When moving the Steam window to another display (non-retina res), the red artifact turns white, making it less noticeable, but still present.

These aren't really issues for the most part. The skin is totally usable, but these are some things that once I noticed them I couldn't stop noticing afterwards.

They're mostly cleaning-related, with some pixel position and slight image-tweaking needed to fix them. But I figured they'd be a good way to keep track of what can be done. Hope this doesn't sound too negative. (By the way, I LOVE the aesthetics and I think the skin so far is great. That being said, I'd like to report some issues I'm having with it so it can be made even better.)

The scroll bar is on top of the game side panel in "Detail View". I'd like to see the scrollbar and game list in "Detail View" a bit more distinct from each other, although I'm not sure that'd work with the style this skin is going for. (Maybe round off the category metalic bars?)

The font at the top (Store, Library, Community) seems a bit too large, in my opinion. I'd like to be able to tweak the size a bit using some customization file.

The friends button at the top-right seems a tad bad for reachability. You have to move the mouse cursor all the way to the top-right, only to move it all the way to the bottom-right to message someone there? Seems like wasted mouse movement. Moving the Friends window to the top-right also seems like a bad idea, since it would be on top of the Play button when maximized. Perhaps it's best left at the bottom-right, or again a customization option might be nifty.

The Friend's window needs a border; right now it's hard to tell from a glance where I need to move my mouse to change the window's size, since the background of the Friend's window and the background of the main window are almost identical.

The bottom-right image to show that the window can be re-sized seems a tad too subtle. On my 1440p monitor here it's hard to tell it's there. If the dots could be made larger I'd like that a lot. =)

The top-arrow above the SearchBar pointing to "Store", "Library", "Community" (etc) is a bit too subtle, and it's currently behind the text. Also, with the dark background the black text seems a bit harder to read. A subtle white glow might help, as would an elegant outline (or a combination of both). I'd also like to see larger font size on the games in "Detail View", along with a slightly brighter shade of gray. It's hard to read in a dark room without forcing my eyes to adjust right now.

In the page for each game the "Play" button, hours-played/last-played and game title could be inverted in their left-to-right order. By putting the "Play" button on the left it saves mouse movementsThe little pop-up windows when I hover over "Community" seem to appear slightly off by a few pixels. If the pop-up window could be made so that it has a down-arrow, I'd like that.

There's also a bit too much unused space on top, in my opinion. (Again I'd like to note that this is by far the most beautiful skin on Steam so far, beating the vanilla one hands-down, and it's still in beta. You can't get higher praise than that.)

I think one solution (note: this is just my own suggestion, and given how awesome this is so far I think you might have better solutions than I would) is to top "Search" bar to the bottom (or to the top), along with the view types ("Detail View", etc), back/forwards, and also the AvatarImage, online friends, and unread messages thing. I think it's still fit any downloading messages even at 720p (which for serious gamers using Steam should be a minimum anyways). Putting it near the top could help you get more screen real-estate by not needing a bottom-bar anymore, and maybe putting a small dark-grey triandle at the bottom-right to help let users know they can re-size the window.

Anyways dude, keep up the good work. Hope I'm not discouraging you, because I just want to help by offering the most constructive criticism I can. Love your work so far, and these are small gripes. This is still going to be by default Steam skin, even if it's never updated after this. Cheers!

Chat messages out of place in group chats

Suggestion: Library sidebar sizing

I was hoping that the library sidebar could be adjusted? Not sure if it's possible but as of right now there is a giant empty space. Of course I'll get used to it eventually but right now it's a little big for me as I don't play with the steam window in full screen.

This is what I'm talking about if I'm not making any sense. ^^

[Arch Linux] Font Size Issues

On Linux your custom font Bebas Neue renders a bit too big (for me it doesn't seem to affect any other fonts). See the screenshots below for some examples.

1. • As you can see on this shot the fonts of the navigation bar (Shop, Bibliothek, Community, J5lx; in english it's Store, Library, Community, J5lx) overlap the arrow pointing to them.
   • also the top of the game title (Anomaly 2 in this case) is cut off
   • additionally on the "Spielen" button there is a bit less space below the text than above

   

2. • On the "Fortsetzen" button there is a bit less space below the text than above
   • The name of the game (Anomaly Defenders in this case) overlaps the text "In Warteschlange" (which should be "queued" or so in english)

   

3. Finally on this screenshot it seems that the headline "Steam-fremde Mod oder Verknüpfung" pushes the text below it out of the box
   

Friends window sizing problems

When in the Steam overlay (in-game), you can resize the Friends window to whatever you like, meaning you can make it completely invisible and inaccessible. Also, when in the client, there's a sizing restraint, however the minimum size allowed still makes the Friends window inaccessible.

Text is waaay too oversized

Not too hard to explain her but basically the text in the UI at the moment is over all too large and over laps with either other text or UI elements. The "Resume/Pause" button text is waaay too big and doesn't fit in the box. Text for game updates/downloads also over laps the status of being "in queue" or "Downloading". An easy fix would be moving the In queue/Downloaded (%) parts down a bit so they don't over lap.

In the settings menu for Steam, under any of the info boxes, I embarrassingly forget what they're called! Gladly puush can save the day and pretty much explain for me, there's this odd red line above the settings, I don't know if that's supposed to be there or not.

Small view bugs, you're aware of them as I've posted it in the comment section of your group. It's not a top priority as you've said though, however, when your skin does go public, I'm sure that there will be other users who will mention it.

Steam had removed the refresh icon when using the in-built client browser, it's a shame really, very useful. That isn't really a bug but if you're able to add that back it would be greatly appreciated!

This really isn't much of a bug, I'll get used to it though! Whenever typing in any of the chats I'm unable to view more of what I typed before hand, it goes to a completely new line which hides what I've recently typed. This also isn't much of a bug, but sometimes I get confused at how much content is actually written down in a chat, as you can see I'm a regular for the Steamworks chat, and we discuss...things... but I sometimes think that the chat hasn't been open for a while or something because there isn't a scroll bar in it. Everything else however does have a scroll bar.

please tell me if you've fixed any of these, i'll be able to remove them from this thread sort of thing, or you can save this jumbled text into notepad and remove them as you go along, or if you wish, i can add these manually one by one as separate bugs in this forum thing

I'm assuming a few of these are already noted or maybe already fixed, but I just feel like pointing them out. Looking great so far, can't wait for full release. This will probably be the best skin for Steam to ever exist.

Achievements looks strange if 0 have been achieved.

If a game has achievements, but the user has not yet achieved any of them, it will look strange with an absence on the left hand side.

I am posting this here so others know this is something I am working on a fix for later down the line.

I don't know about you but this just doesn't fit the theme at all.
I guess this hasn't been changed much as it seems to still have the same font as stock steam.

Text is overlapping in Settings > Account

When you are VAC banned the text is overlapping with the steam guard stuff.

When avatars are hidden in the friends list the default Steam styling comes through:

Emoticons are too spaced out

Some of the emoticons are too small and they have too much spacing, causing them to go over their square limit. There's also a small spacing on the right of the emoticons list that makes it look uncentered.

This wasn't very much a bug, since there's a workaround for it but!

I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to add money to my Steam Wallet. eventually I clicked the steam icon in the corner and went to 'Redeem a Steam Wallet Code' which lead me to a site that had a link to adding some money, I have no idea if you're able to fix this or not, I know it wasn't intended!

Missing Font Smoothing Alt+Tab Browser

When using the in-game browser, the text in addressbar looks scrambled / isn't smoothed out properly, if I remember correctly this was also an issue in the dialog where you change your name (but this was fixed).

Is this supposed to be off-center? (Steam Overlay)

The time clock is off-center from the Web Browser, Settings and Music buttons and it's kind of driving me crazy.

Steam crashes

I've experienced two crashes so far with the latest build. Steam will crash when you right click > view game info, and Steam will also crash when you try to pay with paypal(if you haven't already added it as a payment option to remember). Chatting with friends is fine, so is viewing friends list. I haven't tried trading yet to see if that also causes Steam to crash.

Steam Client Bootstrapper seems to be the reason when Windows tells me about it not responding.

I'm not too sure! My friendslist number has disappeared from the main steam window

[Kubuntu (GNU/Linux)] Family View Glitches with Font and Weird Pop-up

When in family view mode, the fonts for "Store" and "Community" are not the same as "Library" and "Your Account Name". Also, hovering over your profile icon makes this weird pop-up for entering your pin appear, you can't interact with it or anything.

When you first launched the "beta" it was behind the text "online" but it didn't move even further if they we're in a game or similar, now you can see it's inside the text :(

[Windows] Minimize/Close button bugged on certain windows.

Using the current latest master - commit 17bb21d on Windows 7

On certain windows, the minimize and/or close buttons aren't positioned properly, some examples below.

Bug Report with download icon and font size

I'm using the german steam version and the font is kinda to big for the button/ or the button is too small.

In the first screenshot the download icon is overlapping with the download indicator.

In the second screenshot "Anhalten" does not really fit in the button.

Could you fix that?

Steam crashes after opening a second group chat.

I'm managing to replicate this issue every time I open Steam (and I actually remember having this same bug on Enhanced Steam way back when, caused me to switch skins then) and open two group chats, Steam will crash. This does not happen with the other skins I have like PixelVision or Air.

For the record as well, the group chats I open from the Friends list are the Reddit one, then the Steam Gifts (S.Gifts) chat.

If a friend is in Big Picture or on a mobile device, the icon that appears will cover the name of the game they're in.

The dividers in Steam's preferences window seem to have some interesting colours..

Various Sizing tweaks

I had a quick use of this skin and I do think it looks great however, I think most of the font is slightly small. Maybe just an extra px on everything like, I believe you have most things set at 14px and 16px is the default, maybe 15px and please make the nickname text bigger, it's like 12px which is much too small.

Other sizing things include being able to make the library and the friends list smaller. I understand why the friends list has a min width because of search bar but, with the current font size, it really is quite big, I usually have mine 3/4 of that size, you might wanna experiment with the buttons and search box width there.

Anyway, good work on this skin, I don't know how you people manage to Skin steam, it took me like 30mins to figure out how to change the font size, the style coding for steam seems very complex and stupid.

When you preorder a game,it goes to your library but the play button becomes a "Coming Soon" button and i noticed that you didnt make that button(so many buttons :P)? I'm saying that because i had FFXIII preordered but the game was released and i dont know if its fixed by now (i guess its not because i can only see a "play" "details" "install" and "buy" folder inside the graphics > gamedetails folder ,but i dont know if that is the one used).Unfortunately i dont have a screenshot(dont have any preordered game now)

Inside the text box,the emoticon and the input language are not aligned. The second bug is that the resize triangle is over the "send" button.

In the game grid,the original steam skin casts a shadow on the game's banner as you can see here:

that is good to give the feeling that the banner is not "sticked" in the background,but that only (at least to me) is good when you have a "light" color background.

The game grid's background of your skin is black (which im not complaining,it matches your skin) and when its black,the skin cast a white shadow on a game's banner.As you can see here:

Is there a way to remove that white shadow? if its not trouble for you, i'm willing to do it if you tell me how(im guessing that i have to delete some line ? hahaha)
