For now, the official answer is you should look at the value of err.status, which will be set to 400 by this module (your other ones are probably undefined).
Currently I can not distinguish SyntaxError which comes from body-parser (I wish to respond with 400 Bad Request) and other SyntaxErrors (I respond with 500 Server Error)
You can distinguish then by the value of err.status :)
