Render distance for multiblock structures

The multiblocks structures within this mod seem to be a bit strange, after 70 blocks away they disappear where as the vanilla IE multiblock structures stay rendered.

Crash while placing schematic

I've tied to place the schematic with shift right click and then my game froze and crashed

Crash When Using the Distilation Tower

I used Thermal Dynamics fluid pipe and a tank full of oil, as soon as i hit the tank with a wrench, in order to output the fluid, my game crashed.

[1.10.2 - 1.0.0] Pipe render screws up?

I don't experience this in IE alone but adding in this expansion I get a strange pipe render when making pipe longer than a few pieces in a line (no branch offs). Existing pipe doesn't experience this. This is also seen in the manual when I spin the image. See below.

【Suggestion/Request/Business Offer】Minecraft Version 1.7.10

Hi, there
Great mod, I saw the video made by Mischief of Mice on Toutube today, got totaly blast away by the mod. Having an oil system that does not require BuildCraft and does not cause much lag is just above awesome.

But I'm still a little disoppointed because 1.7.10 is left behind, even it's a kinda old version, but still up to today it is still the most popular tech modpack version now.

I understand that coding the mod to a diffrent game version cost a lot of effort and time, but it really would help with us 1.7.10 players to enjoy this great mod. If you think it wouldn't be worthit to do that, just for the "Old school" 1.7.10 players, I still have something else to offer that might change your mind a little bit.

Duplication bug

Minecraft 1.10.2 if you use a mechanical pump from Embers to pump diesel fuel from the distillation tower to an immersive engineering tank it will fill the tank and not remove any fuel from the tower thus giving free unlimited fuel.

Allow the player to rotate the Projector hologram

When using the Crusher Projector, the hologram is facing in a way that causes the finished multiblock's export hole to face west. I'd like it to face east, and it doesn't look like there's any way to rotate the hologram.

I'd prefer that the orientation of the hologram change based on the player's facing, allowing you to re-orient it if need be. Once you click on the ground to anchor it in place, though, it shouldn't move.

oil chunk reset possible?

i just updated yesterday and now EVERY sample tells me there is oil, i believe there has something been broken, can i reset the chunkseeding somehow?

Distillation Tower Problem

The Outpout port for Diesel doesn't seem to work, and chunks without any liquid veins will display having 3mb extraction oil thingy.

[1.12, IEv0.12-69, IPv1.1.2, Forge 14.21.1.2424] Lubricant not passing through fluid router from Tower only

I figure images aren't going to help much here but trying to transfer lubricant only from a distillation tower but not a simple barrel/tank to another barrel/tank (which the latter is fine) all methods are fine with pipes but if you install a fluid router along the line lubricant won't pass through from a distillation tower. I added the lubricant to the filter on every side, NBT checking on/off, etc. and no such luck though all other fluids work fine.

Since the last update the Distillation Tower doesn't output Diesel to any pipe or tank and it can't be pumped out as well.
Output tested with IE Fluid Pipes, IE Fluid Pump, several Tanks, ExU Drums, ExU Transfer Nodes, RS Importer.
The RS External Storage can see the Diesel in the Distillation Tower, but can't extract it.

OFF TOPIC: Radioisotope thermoelectric generator

Since you created this add-on for IE, how about doing another one that adds nuclear power?

That is something that has been "planned" since forever and never implemented.

But instead of going the usual nuclear reactor/turbines route, how about a good old radioisotope thermoelectric generator? If we are going to pollute the land with oil and asphalt, we might as well throw some radiation into the mix!

Of course, nothing small. A large multiblock radioactive thing that outputs a lot of RF.

Projector (ALL) - OpenGL Error:

Using latest 1.11 IE and IP, right click ground with any projector.

Everything works fine, I can do what it is meant to help me with just fine.

Then, I get an error message in chat that is posted about every 7 seconds.
"OpenGL Error: 1281 (Invalid Value)"

The bare content of the projector serves it's purpose and works, but the spam can be annoying.

Also, the green outline box around a multiblock projection doesn't go away after it is built.

[Mod Integration] Galacticraft Integration

How about adding the ability to create Galacticraft fuel from oil using the distillation tower (or an advanced version of it with support for more output fluids). I really like multiblock machines, but I also really like Galacticraft, and having two sources of oil (one easily obtained, one not) is kind of strange (not sure how else to phrase this).

I'd have to see if Galacticraft oil worldgen can be turned off.

Trace oil wells seem to be very common

I have mapped out about 30 chunks, and all chunks that don't have some other thing in them (Mineral Vein or some kind of well) have a minimal oil well. I have found zero chunks that don't have anything.

Fluid Pipe Texture

Placing the fluid pipe going east or west the texture appear correctly when placing the pipe going north or south the texture appears incorrect. There are segments of the pipe that are vertical and not connected. I have attached a screenshot.

[Possible Idiot Question] Getting the fluid from the pumpjack

OKAY, so I am trying to get fluid from the pumpjack into some sort of storage container (in this case, a multiblock Tinker's Construct tank connected with Thermal Dynamics Super-Laminar Fluiducts). The pumpjack is in a chunk that has an oil resevoir, and it makes particles when it runs. BUT I am not getting any fluids out of the pumpjack. I have tried with and without servos on the outputs of the pumpjack. But even after running the setup for 24 HOURS while being chunkloaded... nothing in the tank.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

DistillationTower speed

I tried increase distillationtower speed by edit (server and client) config line "D:distillationTower_timeModifier" from "1.0" to "5.0" but it nothing do, work same as about 15mB/t.
Or this way wrong?

Request for Licence Clarification

I notice that you have no licence for this repository. As I understand it, this means the licence defaults to "all rights reserved" and only grants us the right to fork per GitHub's TOS. We are not, however, permitted to actually modify or compile this repository in any way.

I just want to stay above-board here before I try and add some of my desired changes into your mod. Is this your desired intent? I notice that you've merged pull requests recently, so is this something I should individually be requesting permission from you to do?

(I realize this might seem like a completely overblown question for Minecraft modding, which is just a hobby to so many of us. But I've accidentally stepped on some developer toes before and don't want to do anything against your wishes here.)

Localization for TOP

Using "The One Probe" mod, I can see the unlocalized names of the multiblocks.

real oil reservoirs and minimal reservoirs are not distinguisable by texture

oil reservoirs and 3mb/t oil wells are not distringuishable from the textures, would be nice to be able to tell the difference

also the textures are quiet a bit too dominant, it is hard to determin the minerals in it soemtimes without using thew tooltip

No Oil

The pumpjack pumps water instead of oil into the tank. What am I doing wrong? In version 1.10.2 and 1.11.2.

Idea: Add a way to survey for oil in multiple chunks using seismic reflection surveys

How it could work:

You place a minimum of 3 seismic sources (thumpers) around an hydrocarbon seismograph(similar to the core sample drill).

The thumpers and the hydrocarbon seismograph have to be placed all in different chunks to work.

You insert a map into the hydrocarbon seismograph, turn on the thumpers, wait a few minutes, and then you have potential chunks with oil marked on the map.

The thumpers and the hydrocarbon seismograph would use RF to operate.

In real life thumper trucks are used, but something similar to a Dune thumper could work. (3 blocks high maybe?)

The extent of the area surveyed and the time it takes is determined by the size of the map inserted.

Feature Request: IP Command

Currently IE has a /ie mineral set command that allows for directly setting the mineral vein within a chunk. This is extremely useful in testing. When in test world it would be extremely useful to have a command to set the reservoir of a chunk. A similar functionality would nice (/ip reservoir [get | set | list ] )

This is for 1.12-1.0.12. (I noticed the last couple release aren't up in Github so if a command has already added/exists I apologize)

Diesel fuel efficiency

Since this mod is 1.10 and I can't find ANYTHING about diesel consumption for the diesel generator, I'm here to ask. It's probably the same as, well, y'know, bio-diesel, but I don't know the fuel consumptions for that either.

Distillation Tower output enhancement

As of 1.1.0 update distillation tower produces 3 types of liquids, but has only one fluid output valve.
Maybe there is a point to make independent output valves for each distillation product to negate problems with multiple liquids in single pipe system between tower and fluid storage?

Hiya Flaxbeard,

For the last few days I have been playing with immersive petroleum on the Forgecraft server and I have come to some difficult conclusions.

While Immersive Petroleum is fundamentally interesting and provides a fun new system to Immersive Engineering. its just not worth it.

I don't say that lightly however and I'll detail below. Right now the most minimal setup for Diesel production takes 4096 IF/t or one full Diesel engine. 1 pumpjack and 1 distill tower. 2048 each.

And while more Diesel is produced than the Generator needs, there is little need for extra fuel if all the power is being constantly used in the first place.

So I mentioned that I had been playing with immersive petroleum for a few days. Heres what I have.

Pictured here is 3 Distill towers and 4 pumpjacks. 2 distill towers are disabled leaving 5 power draw sources each consuming 2048 IF/t for a total of 10240 IF/t

Not pictured is the 3 Diesel engines powering this setup creating 4096 IF/t each for a total of 12,288 IF/t

Leaving me with a surplus of only 2048 IF/t for 3 generators of work.

But heres the kicker. /not including transfer loss/ keeping in mind that IE has a transfer loss across cables and you will wind up with somewhere on average ballpark of 5% loss or in my case because my oil setup is a couple hundred blocks from my base 14% loss leaving me with 1761 IF/t for the rest of my base.

Now this all being said lets look at the pros here. on those 4 oil jacks I can probably support another 2 generators leaving me with a net gain of 8806 IF/t (counting loss)

If I want to add more generators I have to support more pump jacks, likely another 2 to be comfortable and a distill tower only supports a max of 5 pumpjacks in ideal input circumstances. So on goes another distill tower so thats another 3 power draws of 2048 or 6144 IF/t and lets say I'm only adding a couple more gens we are now up to 7 generators 28672 IF/t powering 7 jacks and 2 distills 18432 IF/t - 14% for power loss 4018 IF/t for a total of 22450 or a final surplus of 6222 IF/t
Or in other words about a generator and a half left over to power the base.

Okay.

Thats enough with the wall of numbers. The reason I presented all that to you is I wanted to make absolutely sure you saw what I saw before I make my suggestion. Which is simply this.

Please make the system cheaper to run. I won't tell you where to make the cuts I'll leave that up to you. But in order for Immersive Petroleum to be useful somethings gotta give.
