People will probably find the list via various sources, e.g., GitHub tags/search or links from other awesome lists. Believe it or not, but some of them might actually not know what Home Assistant is.
Search engines currently fail to create a nice excerpt.

HomeAutomation.CoDeSys3
Home Automation system build in CoDeSys 3 with MQTT communication to any third party Home Automation software
https://github.com/MichielVanwelsenaere/HomeAutomation.CoDeSys3
An unique opensource project focusing on wired home automation using PLC devices. Extensive documentation containing Home-Assistant samples and a boilerplate project help users to easily program their device and easily integrate everything using MQTT.
The project has been around for several years now and has a steady but unknown number of users running the software 24/7.
Note that I'm the creator and maintainer of the project. Yet, as many opensource projects there is no monetary involvement.

This is a blog focused on delivering beginner friendly guides and tutorials for Home Assistant users. Content is created with "a beginner mindset", so readers don't feel confused or lost. The author also disassembles, tests and reviews cheap home automation hardware and integrates it in Home Assistant. Its a good contribution to the Awesome list.

Do you think we should have links to the custom cards as the official ones come out? Namely the Alarm and Thermostat cards. There are going to be more and more custom cards as time goes on, and was just thinking that we'll want to prune when we can. Thoughts before I do a PR?

BRUH automation has removed all videos from YouTube, and doesn't appear to be doing anything in the space any longer.
Althought the website still appears to be online, almost all of its content has been removed.
Hey @frenck,
Just something I noticed and would love to get your opinion on. On the contributing page, you wrote:
Self-promotion is frowned upon, so please consider seriously whether your project meets the criteria before opening a pull request, otherwise, it may be closed without being reviewed.
I think I get the idea behind it. However, I'd like to add the Windows companion I'm developing to the list (we spoke about it before, HASS.Agent). I'm spending a lot of my spare time on developing, maintaining and providing support, and it's something I think can be of use to other Windows-dwelling Home Assistant users. The feedback so far has been really good, and it's been downloaded over 4k times.
Since I don't make any money from it, it's open source (MIT) and freely available, would it still be 'frowned upon' if I created a pr for its addition to your list? if so, why, and how are links usually added then?
Thanks for your time!
List of addons only includes addons which can be added to HassIO directly through the addon store, however this leaves out some cool docker images which you can add to HA.
Should this list continue to only include addons which are directly installable through the addon store?
I would want to say yes, as other docker images require a more difficult manual install (using Portainer for example), and not as simple as using the addon store. However, custom components are equally unsupported and also require following a specific procedure to use. Granted, using a custom component is still easier than a custom docker image.
Docker images which I think qualify for adding to the HA-Awesome list, if allowed, would be:
DeepStack: Deepstack is a AI powered face & object detection engine, exposed over a REST API. Easily integrated directly into HA using robmarkcole's Custom Component HASS-DeepStack.
Marthocs' deCONZ: This deCONZ image provides the same features and integration into HA as the official image, but also allows enabling VNC access into the image to view your ZigBee mesh network and diagnose any issues.
I think there are a few other docker images such as Ombi (Plex Request server) and SyncLounge (Watch Plex movies as a group with group pausing and a chatroom) which are great and I run on my own HA server, but are not strictly related to Home Assistant so probably shouldn't be included unless you feel otherwise.
In the contribution guide you have a requirement saying the site targeted by the link should be English. The Francophone awesome HA list is in French and is not compliant with this rule. It could be useful to show your readers that awesome lists for HA exists in specific languages.
Add a section hosting HA related awesome-lists only where the English-only requirement doesn't apply.
