hlk_ld2410's Introduction

HLK-LD2410 library v 0.9.3

Name: HLK_LD2410

Purpose: Arduino library for the Hi-Link LD2410 24Ghz FMCW radar sensor

@author Dejan Gjorgjevikj

@version 0.9.3, 1/2024

This sensor is a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave radar, which makes it good for presence detection and its sensitivity at different ranges to both static and moving targets can be configured.

todo:

  • better documentation
  • examples
  • support for new firmware
  • support for other (simmilar) radar sensors

The code in this library was developed from scratch based on the manufacturer datasheet(s) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1p4dhbEJA3YubyIjIIC7wwVsSo8x29Fq-

History of changes:

  • 14.01.2024 - v0.9.0 initial
  • 23.01.2024 - v0.9.1 corrected minor bug in reqVersion and reqParameter that did not work correctly if not called from config mode
  • 25.01.2024 - v0.9.2 added functions for distance resolution reading and setting, Bluetooh, MAC address, fixed bug in reset function, ...
  • 31.01.2024 - v0.9.3 changes in low level reading, support for timing during sending (to support RD-01 module), refactoring in readAckFrame()

This library is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE either express or implied. Released into the public domain.

hlk_ld2410's Issues

Question

Hello, this isn't an issue, but I don't think there's any way to communicate with you outside of this section. Since I'm working on this as an amateur, I was very pleased to see that you shared a library for the LD2410 sensor for the ESP32. However, as far as I understand, it adjusts some parameters on the sensor to read the data correctly at the initial setup and then transfers the sensor data to the serial monitor. But there are so many columns that, since I'm not a programmer, I can't manage to simplify this code right now (it seems like all the programming skills have been used :) ). Basically, I want to open the LEDs in my wardrobe at the lowest level at a certain distance, and then, of course, fully open them when I get closer. All the documents I found were prepared for Home Assistant, so this code prepared for the ESP32 is very valuable to me. I would appreciate it if you could guide me.
