Question

So you not using any of the config settings from v2 in v3? xD

cycling aspect ratio is broken

when i press shift + p it says Unknown Property: 'video-aspect'

if i remove your configs, i can cycle aspect ratio again.

Question: Display & Video FPS - Stutter & Lag

Hello,

If I watch a video that's at 30fps and I have override-display-fps=60 and profile-desc="High - 1080p - 60 FPS" there's a lot of stuttering I'll see in the video.

So for now I commented # out #override-display-fps=60 and made the 1080p setting lines, (removing [fps<=?60]);

profile-desc="High - 1080p"
ytdl-format=bestvideo[height<=?1080][vcodec!=?vp9]+bestaudio/best

Forgive my ignorance here, I'm assuming there are two fps we deal with here, the display fps and what the video is recorded at?

So isn't it better not to define any fps in the config, so the videos just play at their recorded speeds?

By the way, I noticed you mentioned these configs aren't tested in Linux.

I'm running Slackware 15.0 with Openbox 3.6.1 and nvidia-driver-525.78.01.

I have a Ryzen 5 5600X with a EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080, monitor is 1440p 165hz.

I get stutter and lag using the config for 1080p, which doesn't make sense I'd see stutter and lag with my hardware.

I'm attaching my modifided config, maybe you can tell me what I can try to adjust to make it run smoother?

THANKS

P.S. After posting this, I removed the Shaders lines. They were the ones causing the stuttter/lag in Linux. Here's a new modified config I'm using.

CFL or Krig?

Is there a reason Krig is used for chroma instead of CFL?

Question: Using profile= ?

Hello,

I'm using mpv in Linux and I typically click on a video in the file manager to play it with mpv. If I do this should I change profile=gpu-hq to the profile I want to use like [H60] as profile=H60?

Because, what I did was remove all the profiles and I only kept [M60] and [H60], but I commented out all of [M60]. So I wasn't sure if I can use the config like this when clicking on videos in the file manager to play them with profile=gpu-hq , or I need to change it to profile=H60?

Here's my converted config file... THANKS

config.txt

P.S. For now I changed it to profile=H60.

GPU Shader Overlap

Please let me know if you are okay with the current AMD+NVidia overlap or not.

For version 1.1.20 I'm considering offering seperate GPU shader profiles: one for NVidia and one for AMD.

I'm currently testing upscalers for artifacting and undesirable results.

"profile contains no restore data" console notice

I'm looking into a fix for the "profile contains no restore data" message in the MPV console (`).

It seems to have no bad side effects from what I can tell at the moment, just a warning message.

Question: Config Changes Look Ok?

Hi,

I use mpv in Linux, and I only need 1440p, and whenever I play a video, I just click on the video through the file manager to play them, not from the command line.

So, I wanted to ask, if the changes I made looked ok for just 1440p?

As far as I can tell, it's ok, but I wanted to ask to make sure I didn't make a mistake or over look anything.

By the way, this project is greatly appreciated, I really love mpv in Linux, so I hope the project lives on a very long time.

THANKS

P.S. I added the .txt extension so I could upload it.
