What shortcut could be?

The shortcut to use is a tricky question because with Firefox there are a lot of addons who use them + the built-in shortcuts.
I would go for a configurable shortcut.

I like to be able to switch from users in a singular window by reloading the tab after changing the user, so if there was an option to, when changing profiles with the shortcut to automatically refresh the page = for me this would be the product of the year.

Maybe you could simply expose the command and then let users use keyconfig to choose their own shortcut? Lastpass uses Alt-PgUp/Down for switching between logins, I could see that as useful here also.
I'm thinking for Multifox 2, but the idea applies the same for both I think.

Implement this, please. The shortcuts could be number-based (it's just a suggestion), such as ctrl+alt+0 for default profile, crtl+alt+1 for first profile, and so on, for example.
