hsl-picker's Issues

Feature request: responsive

LOVE this picker!

Would you consider making a responsive version? I can imagine it being quite useful for inline css settings for my CMS, but it would need to work on mobile, and stretch to desktop.

Hex codes aren't correct

So I put in #c6acc7 but the actual color is #c6adc7. I've attached a screen shot with the Devtools showing the problem and even the URL says #c6adc7 while the HEX field clearly says #c6acc7 and the color shown is that also.

Sticky sliders

On Chrome the sliders get "sticky" when you drag them. I think that it gets overloaded with event callbacks and that maybe some sort of callback throttler (maybe just for the url hash changes) would help. It's the worst in Chrome stable, better in Canary and Firefox seems almost unaffected.

URL input field won't update on "Random".

When you click the "random" button the URL input field at the footer won't update itself until the next click event.

Steps:

  1. Choose a color dragging the sliders.
  2. Look at the Hex field. Compare with the URL input field. They are the same.
  3. Click the "random" button.
  4. Look at the URL input field. The value is still the same, although the Hex field has been updated.
  5. Click anywhere in the page. The URL input field gets updated.

Can I purchase and maintain this website?

Dear Brandon,

Would you consider selling the hslpicker website so I can enhance it further? If you're interested, we can create escrow exchange after agreeing on the sale price.

Thanks for your time. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Suggestion

This is awesome! It would be great if you added optional text on top of the foreground: "Text" or something, which could be colored independently, much like you do for foreground/background. I would like to be able to test text colors against background colors.

Thank you for such a great tool!

State your code’s license

What license is your code released under? Could I use your code to write a similar color picker with sliders?

I was thinking idly about making a slider-based color picker for the HUSL color space, to complement that site’s current slider-and-map picker. Then I remembered that I like the interface of your site very much, and you link to its code in the footer. But I don’t see any license for your code in this repository. Could I, for example, make a clone of your site at huslpicker.com that used the HUSL color model, if the clone credited you as the creator of the interface? What if I used only components of your code to enhance the existing picker on the HUSL site?

I would expect HSL Color Picker’s license to either be stated in the README, or in a file LICENSE at the root of the repo.
