Scroll Queue as saved text is pasted

Currently when pasting items in sequence from the queue, the selected item will move down one item at the time.
The problem is that when the queue is very long, the selected item moves out of view as you are pasting, meaning that you can't really see what you are pasting unless you go to the Queue window and scroll.

I wish that the Queue window will scroll automatically to keep the selected item and a couple of the next items to paste always in view

Option to move back to recent collection

Hello,

Would it be possible to add an option to trigger the app to always go back to the recent collection.
Currently if you go into a collection to copy things you manually have to move it back to the recent collection if you want to copy something from there.

So adding a setting to trigge move back to recent when you run the "Toggle Side Window" would be really nice to have.

Allow disabling "multi select" in quick mode

Describe the solution you'd like
Hello, just bought the app and like it so far, but I have one request. My shortcut to show the sidebar is "cmd+shift+v". If I use this to toggle quick mode and hold the modifiers down, I get stuck in multi select mode when using the arrows to navigate between clips.

My request is a toggle to disable multi select. That way, I could keep my keybinding and only paste one item.

I have considered switching keybinding, but I have many years of muscle memory assigned to this one, so if at all possible I would like to keep it.

Ignore clipboard based on regex

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Hi, it would be very usefull to have possibility making exceptions based on regex. There is another feature request for disabling history from other devices (handoff clipboard), and partially it could be solved by regexes - e.g. I would like to remove keeping in history OTA 6 digits codes.

Ignore keywords/whole clips that contain specific regexes

Slow and laggy compared to paste & pasty

Macbook Pro 16inch M2 Max

Hi, i would love to use the app, because of the onetime payment compared to paste.
But tbh, pastepal is either extremely slow itself, or there is a bug/incompatibility on Ventura?

If it helps, i could make a slowmotion screen recording, how huge the difference is.
Otherwise even klicking something on that edgewindow/edgeboard or how thats called, is extremely painful.
It either doesn't react at all, or i have to click 2/3 times...
And if it reacts it takes like 500ms-1s.

Paste or Pasty, i tryed both, since pastepal/pasty/paste are all very similar and exactly what im searching.
However paste & pasty work fluidly like lightspeed, they are extremely performant.

Im hoping that this is fixable. I can even help with remote desktop or whatever is needed.
Otherwise i just refunded the money from apple, because it's unusable slow for me, sry.

But what i mean is, if it's possible to fix/improve this app, i would love it! Because paste's yearly payment subscription, is something i try to stay away from.
And Pasty actually works great, but is a bit limited in features 🙈

Ability to Pull Items using Shortcuts on iOS

Would like to implement pastepal with shortcuts more often.

Describe the solution you'd like
It would be awesome to be able to pull the items from a certain collection via a shortcut on iOS. For instance either searching a term and getting the resulting items that matched or picking a collection and getting the last X amount of items.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Using the app without shortcuts. It isn't a necessary but other apps allow this. For instance an app called copy'em allows you to search items and pull a certain number from a chosen collection. PastePal has a cleaner keyboard and has kept me. I think it is the better app. But these features would put it over the top.

Clear History Directly From Side Panel

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It is not related to any problem, it just takes more time to clean the history than what would be desirable.

A simple clear history button on the side panel would fix this.

Can you please add the possibility if any clipboard is in a collection (e.g. favorites, English), the option to automatically delete the clipboard at the end of the month is enabled in the settings so that no clipboard is deleted from any collection at the end of the month?

Remember preferences on the Queue

Love PastePal, but as a heavy Queue user, I'm always frustrated that it does not remember my preferences from the last time I used it. The preferences are:

• Flip: I always have to flip the text that I'm adding to the queue as I want to paste it in the same order. I would like and expect for the order preference to be remembered.
• Paste Sequential vs All: even though I set the queue to paste as 'sequential', PastePal forgets after a while and changes the setting to paste 'all'. This is also very frustrated.

Overall, really like PastePal when compared to Paste, but these queue behaviours are very annoying! If these would be fixed, there would be no reason to use any other clipboard manager

The "setup" section of iCloud sync is rarely ticked

Describe the bug
Unless I clear everything from iCloud and get started from scratch, it almost always show this in the settings

I just normally use it, over time (a couple of days), it will always come to and stay like this, the download and upload are fine, but setup is not in sync.
Besides, I don't know what exactly does "setup" mean here.

Queue window should follow as we move screens

PastePal is great! But this is a small issue I have:
When using the Queue with multiple desktops and/or having apps in Full Screen view, the Queue window remains on the desktop/app where it was activated.
This means that, if I change desktop/app, I have to close the Queue window and open it again on the desired desktop/app.
I would expect the Queue window to follow me around as I move desktops/apps, so that I can quickly copy and paste items (this is how Paste does it).

auto focus on first item is lost when navigating between collections

when i am navigating between collections (with shortcuts: cmd + ] or cmd + [ or with clicking to collection) focus on first item is lost in some collections so i can't paste or navigate between items to paste from side window.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to side window
2. Click on collections
3. See focused item ready for paste

Expected behavior
while i am navigating between collections first item should always be focused, so i can paste or choose between what i want to paste.

Paste/add item into collection with keyboard shortcut

I like to take items in in my history and move them to a specific collection, the way I do it now is:

1. open side window
2. click settings icon on clip
3. click the Add to collection

A shortcut, maybe CMD-M with M for Move to move a selected clip, also to select clips with CMD-SHIFT-1-9 to select clips to move or to modify with CMD-I

Continue to do what I do manually, select with arrow keys, drag and drop things to collections, use accessibility features or BetterTouchTool to trigger a MOUSE-2 to access the Add to collection menu

Not quit unless you're manually quitting. I assume it may be prompting to do in order for it to update, but in that case it should do so in the background.

Colored Clipboard Items with Larger and Easier to edit Title

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I will be honest, I'm coming from using Paste App for a few weeks, just the trial and there are some UI things I do miss, that I beleive more people would like to have:

If you're Familiar With their solution, you'd know their UI is very similar bon the top bar at each note, gets a color, accordign to the Category/ Collection you add them to. This looks great. More than that, it has the Item title on a Larger font, and the color also adds contrast making it easier to read.

Another advantage of their system is how easily you may edit the title. Here you have to right click, then click details (in my opinion, title should be on edit) and so on.

A) Larger Item Titles at Collections.
B) Collection Items have the Collections Color as a Background for title.
C) Change adding a Title to the Edit section or be able to edit right from the preview.

At least A and C could be done to improve usage. B makes everyting better as well but maybe its too much to ask for.

Button on the Menu Items / Main Software window to encourage App Enhancements / Feauture Requests / Report Bugs

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
So, as you already now, the only way (as far as I know) to report bugs or ask for new feautures is to come to github and do what I'm doing. The problem is, only a few users know this. In fact, the only reason I knew this is because of reddit said you usually listen to your users, which I think is great.

This gives us users a better service, and on your side it also makes tor product stronger with new ideas to make it better than it aalready is, and better than your competitors.

Add a VISIBLE button below the Settings button on the main app that either opens up a query to add for feautures directly or at least, takes them here on github to ask for the feauture/fix.

P.S: The PastePal Help button on the menu bar does not work.

Infinite Scroll

I use PastePal a lot in my everyday workflow and sometimes I would just like scrolling over the history for multiples days. I don't think it's a good UI way to have pages in the main window, and in the side window if I don't remember what I'm looking for I'm stuck with the 200 items (which only cover a day, yes I use copy/paste a lot).

I would be amazing to implement and infinite scroll inside either the side window and the main window.

Hability to Rearrange Items by Drag and Dropping.

Blurry Image Preview

Disable universal clipboard

I would like a feature where PastePal ignores clipboard content from other devices. If I were to copy something on my iPhone, universal clipboard makes it such that my Mac copies it as well but is picked up by PastePal.

Multi selection

Describe the bug
When trying to press shift + down/up arrow, it triggers a search with the following character ''.
When copying multiple elements or "arranger -> move to top", it takes only the last one selected.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open pastepal's sidebar
2. Select 2 items which aren't the first ones
3. Copy them
4. See only the last one selected was brought to the top
5. Press shift + down arrow to select the 2 first items
6. It does not select the below item as before

Expected behavior
Whereas it allowed multiselection in the past for pasting or putting on top multiple items at once (by copying them after selection or arrange move to top)

Support syntax highlighting for code in clipboard

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It would be cool if PastePal had syntax highlighting for code that shows up in a copied snippet. Ideally, there would be some heuristic that determines the language for syntax highlighting, but I think even just highlighting or coloring different keywords without any type of intelligent language inference would be useful too.

See screenshot below. I envision something similar to that. This was a feature available on Paste and I remember it was easier to find the code snippet I was looking for at a glance with it.

It doesn't really solve a problem, but I think aesthetically, it's a little more visually appealing and at a glance, it makes it easier to find the snippet you're looking for.

I would like PastePal to have a transform function that would defang URLs.

The transform would have to handle http, ftp, and IP.

Cannot Save image to different filename

When I try to save a screenshot, I get the standard name "untitled.png" which I would like to change, so I can save it because there is already a untitled.png in that folder.
When I go into the box to change the name, it does not let me.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Create a screenshot.
Click on Save As in Pastepal.
Save WIndows opens.
Try to change the name of "untitled.png"
Changing folders also does not help with changing the name.

Expected behavior
I expect to be able to save the file under another name.

Ability to Delete Multiple Items iOS

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When deleting items on the iPhone it is very slow having to swipe over each and then delete. Also the swipe doesn't always register. It requires swiping 2-3 times before it allows deleting (although that could be user error but I'm doubting it. On iPhone 14 pro max).

It would be awesome to have a "select multiple" button from the toolbar or somewhere that then allows you to select multiple items to send to the trash at one time.

Other apps. There's an app called "copy'em" that I've used that allows this. But it doesn't have as clean a keyboard as pastepal does.
The only other alternative would be not to save as many items or delete at once but there's a lot of items in pastepal I want to keep long term. A lot of times I'm mass copying items to then mass paste somewhere else at one time. It works great for this purpose. But those items rarely need kept long term as they've been copied. And deleting each individually is a pain.

Additional context
While I don't usually change multiple items collections at one time, I can imagine users on the iPhone do want to do this as well at times. So it would be handy perhaps to also implement select multiple for changing collection as well.

First time Install / Run Set Up GUI/ Tutorial

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Although it is a -decently- easy app to use, it would make it easier to use for the first time you run it a Step by step GUI that made you:

-Choose where you want the clipboard bar to be situated. (Right, Left, Top, Bottom)
-How to activate it (select shortcut etc)
-Quick GUI Tutorial on how to:
--Add to Collection
--Use the quick selection (CMD + Number).
--Edit title, text from saved items.
--How to request new feautures.

To be honest, it took me a while to figure this things out and I beleivbe it would be a somewhat easy to do fix for you. Plus it would be a great way to gain advantage on your competitors.

I have some more ideas for your product to become the best of the best. but I beleive I have already spammed you enought for today.
