graphite's Introduction

Graphite for jQuery Mobile

Requires: jQuery Mobile 1.3.1

Graphite is a curated set of nice, simple, and clean jQuery Mobile themes based on the default jQM swatches. It also comes with a generator script for building your own with a given base color and base highlight color. Since the themes are based on the default swatches, highlight swatches might not match the theme correctly for this release.

We've included a modified jQuery Mobile base theme that we use to generate the "Graphite" set of themes. This theme has a few changes made to the default theme.

Created by Ben Sperry and Max Lynch creators of Codiqa, the jQuery Mobile interface builder, and Joe Nelson of Bendyworks in Madison, Wisconsin.

graphite's Issues

Best practices "calculating" secondary_color and highlight_border_color?

Are there any best practices for calculating the secondary_color and highlight_border_color?
E.g. with an Olive base_color of #B5AE00 I wonder which values to take best.

If you have any suggestions please feel free to add an Olive theme with base_color #B5AE00 to the Graphite repo :-)

How Do You Compile This Makefile in Unix

I have been trying to install this in my server but it doesn't work.
I have tried to Make the file by typing Make. the Makefile runs and it gives me an error.
Is this the right way to build this project in my server?

Thank you

V.

Provide online "customize" generator

While thinking about the Graphite themes and customing it to use my own colors, it would be a nice idea to offer an online "customize" generator where an user can just provide &BASE_COLOR, &SECONDARY_COLOR, &HIGHLIGHT_COLOR (and later the JQM version) and generate the theme.
This would be similar like the customized download Twitter Bootstrap is providing.

What do you think?

[enhancement] Add missing bower.json.

Hey, maintainer(s) of driftyco/graphite!

We at VersionEye are working hard to keep up the quality of the bower's registry.

We just finished our initial analysis of the quality of the Bower.io registry:

7530 - registered packages, 224 of them doesnt exists anymore;

We analysed 7306 existing packages and 1070 of them don't have bower.json on the master branch ( that's where a Bower client pulls a data ).

Sadly, your library driftyco/graphite is one of them.

Can you spare 15 minutes to help us to make Bower better?

Just add a new file bower.json and change attributes.

{
  "name": "driftyco/graphite",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  "main": "path/to/main.css",
  "description": "please add it",
  "license": "Eclipse",
  "ignore": [
    ".jshintrc",
    "**/*.txt"
  ],
  "dependencies": {
    "<dependency_name>": "<semantic_version>",
    "<dependency_name>": "<Local_folder>",
    "<dependency_name>": "<package>"
  },
  "devDependencies": {
    "<test-framework-name>": "<version>"
  }
}

Read more about bower.json on the official spefication and nodejs semver library has great examples of proper versioning.

NB! Please validate your bower.json with jsonlint before commiting your updates.

Thank you!
