about “Precautions” Thermal Cycling environments

hi,

about “Precautions” section,
Please take steps to protect unit in wet environments.
wet environments
so , need other protect unit ? we test Thermal Cycling my product. -20 to +75 °C
some MS5607 become break.(not access or calibration PROM checksum error)

Altitude obviously wrong

I am trying to use your library on an Arduino UNO R2. The temperatures provided by the MS5611_simple example seem to be correct but not the absolute altitudes (I have 26m instead of 57 above sea level).

Error in temperature calculation

For "Actual Temperature", you need to use TEMPSENS (fc[6]) not TRef (fc[5]):

int32_t TEMP = 2000 + ((int64_t) dT * fc[5]) / 8388608;
Should read:
int32_t TEMP = 2000 + ((int64_t) dT * fc[6]) / 8388608;

sorry, ignore that, you have numbered your fc from 0 to 5, so your calculations are indeed correct.

Library hangs if temperature< 20

Library hangs whole sketch when temperature comes down below 20.

Fix:

In MS5611.cpp change line 184 from
TEMP2 = (dT * dT) / (2 << 30);
to
TEMP2 = (dT * dT) / pow(2, 31);

And all is well again.

No need to wait after Wire.requestFrom() and no Wire.beginTransmission() or endTransmission() should be used with Wire.requestFrom().

wrong values from serial monitor

the serial monitor values are completely wrong

Not going beyond the begin function

Is this code running completely for you?

When I run the simple example as it is, it doesn't proceed beyond the line:
if(ms5611.begin())

It gets stuck instead the function and code doesn't proceed.
