Mounted filesystem discovery not working

but with the file system i dont get a value?

Question for ZBX-CISCO_INTERFACES template

hi ,i have installed zabbix and i import the ZBX-CISCO_INTERFACES template ,but is not working normal,in the {$INTF_REGEXP} macro,i don't know type what's value ? And i found my host 's items just have one, "graphs" is 0 ,"Triggers" is 0.how can i do ? my {$SNMP_COMMUNITY} is ok, help me please

Device Model Name (ZBX-CISCO-ENVMON template) not determinet on some switches

Hi! I recently foud some bug in your ZBX-CISCO-ENVMON template (seems LLD rule not working).
Device Model Name not determined on WS-C2960S-48TS-L switches, but determined on WS-C2960S-48TS-S. If i manualy query OID (.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.13.1001) from switch I can get model name from both devices.

Value mapping bgpPeerState

Just a suggestion.
What do you think about adding a new value mapping to display the item "Operational status for peer"?
Something like: bgpPeerState, and values​​:
1: idle
2: connect
3: active
4: OpenSent
5: OpenConfirm
6: established

zabbix agent installation hangs

I just tried to install the zabbixagent-2.0.9 from the repos, via the gui installer. it hangs when it tries to start the service. the reason being that Server= is missing in the conf. Adding it manually, while the installation gui is retrying, fixes the problem and the agent installation succeed.

i just tried to import zbx-cisco-interfaces.xml after the modifications but failed with following error:

windows filesystem discovery has error

after importing ZBX-WINDOWS-ENVMON into my ZABBIX i found a problem regarding to the FileSystem Key;
Disk transfert/s (IOPS) for D: becomes not supported because it should have another number beside of 0 in it's key
perf_counter["\234(0 D:)\212",60] shold be convert to perf_counter["\234(1 D:)\212",60] .
so in discovery rule of this items another item have to be discovered like partition number
this issue cased to and unusable state on (Disk transfer t/s) and (Disk Idle) items
please help me

zbx-cisco-interfaces can't monitor high traffic interface

I cannot get correct reading on a very high traffic interface.
The problem seems to related to the 32bit counter overflow.
I modified your template to use 64bit counter and that seems to solved the problem.

My changes:
ifInOctets -> ifHCInOctets
ifOutOctets -> ifHCOutOctets

ADSL Line Prototypes

Are the upstream/downstream Indexes inverted?

e.g.

ADSL line (ID11) upstream speed = 6.62 Mbps
ADSL line (ID11) downstream speed = 1.07 Mbps

Surely this is the other way around?

Currently we are deeply testing many zabbix's templates before migration (great collection by the way) and we use SNMPv3 SHA/AES in our environment. Would it be a big effort for You to adjust if.speed to SNMPv3? Maybe something like this?

if.speed["-d","IP_ADDRESS","-u","{$SNMP_V3_USER}","-p","{$SNMP_V3_PRIV}","-a","{$SNMP_V3_USER}","-s","SNMPINDEX"]

P.S. Zabbix 2.2 fully supports SNMPv3 now:

snmp_parse_oid(): cannot parse OID "IF-MIB::ifDescr

i was import the zbx-cisco-interfaces,but it is not working ,i see readme .md said have 20 items ,8 triggers and 3 graphs, but i dont' have that. i found just have 0 item,0 trigger,0graphs, did i download a wrong xml ? Anyone tell me how to download the template ? i use " save as " or copy all code to a file.

ZBX-BROCADE-FC-PORT: import error on "Error(s) [...]" trigger

The following happens with Zabbix 2.2.6 (running on Linux EL6, if relevant);

I've Imported the other ZBX-BROCADE-FC (zbx-brocade-fc-envmon.xml) with no issues, and it seems to be working great.

But, When I tried importing zbx-brocade-fc-port.xml, the import aborts with the following error:

In case it's related, I've double checked and the required mappings have all been created and are listed on Administration > General > Value Mappings, and the advsnmp.discovery script is correctly installed on my externalscripts dir (along with echo.something, which works) and it also works correctly when invoked from the command-line with the same parameters mentioned in zbx-brocade-fc-port.xml:

problem, using zbx-windows-iis

I'm using IIS template to monitor my Windows 2k8r2 Box.
Installed version 2.4.1 of zabbix server (agent version is 2.4.1 too), after doing configs and adding template, the items became unsupported.
this is the errors:
Cannot obtain performance information from collector.
Invalid performance counter path.

what caused the problem?

Problems when monitoring Hyper-V Server 2012 - Solved

I have configured template and scripts to monitor Hyper-V Server 2012 (core).
Everything works except than "Network interface discovery".
Zabbix reports "Not supported".
I moved to the Hyper-V Server and I did some tests.
If I run the script "zabbix_win_system_discovery.vbs NICS" I get a complete list of interfaces formatted as a JSON object.
When I run the command "zabbix_get -s 127.0.0.1 -p 10050 -k system..discovery[NICS]" agent reports ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED
The same happens with [DISKS] and [VOLUMES].
Others like [CPUS], [SERVICES], [QUOTAS] etc. work both from the script and zabbix_get.

I have 3 Hyper-V servers and the issue is present on all of them.
I also have Windows 2012 servers and 2008 servers and everything works perfectly.

I'm currently running Zabbix 2.2.1
Agent is version 2.2.1 but I repeated same tests also with 2.0.9.

Edit:
By having a look to the script it seems the problem occurs only when the code includes a "For Each " instruction.
It seems Zabbix agent is missing something from the core version of Windows that let it execute that kind of code.

Pour cela, j'ai suivi et appliqué la procédure d'installation décrite sur ce site. J'ai essayé en ligne de commande if.speed, il récupére normalement les valeurs. Aprés, j'ai importé le template. Et comme résultat j'ai:

ZBX-WINDOWS-IIS getting "not supported" status

Hi,

I just imported this template and added him to some hosts I need to monitor IIS, but every item is showing as "not supported by Zabbix Agent", and I'm using the package provided here. Am I doing something wrong?

User Parameters causes "zabbix_agentd.exe" not to start

Adding the user parameters as per the instructions to Zabbix Agent 2.2.1, causes the server to fail to start - and the following error gets logged in the debug log:

4600:20140224:154755.807 cannot add user parameter system.discovery[],%systemroot%\system32\cscript.exe /nologo /T:30 C:\Zabbix\Scripts\zabbix_win_system_discovery.vbs $1": syntax error

Am I doing something wrong?

Cannot import zbx-windows-envmon template

The template is linked to another template ZBX-TEMPLATE-SYSTEM-DEVICE-WINDOWS, which doesn't exist.

How can I get this working?

[zabbix_win_system_discovery.vbs] missing SQLDB

As I can see zbx-windows-mssql.xml uses zabbix_win_system_discovery.vbs to obtain info about SQL databases. But there is nothing about it.

I've also checked zabbix_mssql_version.vbs - there is no such functionality as well.

Template zbx-cisco-cdp can't show all neighbors

I have 3 Cisco switches : Switch A , Switch B and Switch C

Switch A Port 21 connect to Switch B Port 31
Switch A Port 22 connect to Switch B Port 32

Switch A Port 23 connect to Switch C Port 31
Switch A Port 24 connect to Switch C Port 32

In zabbix with zbx-cisco-cdp, it can only discovery Switch B port 31 and 32 as cdp neighbors, but nothing about Switch C

Dell-Powerconnect-interfaces - discovery Doesn't happen

First of all, Awsome work! I have used your templates on various catalyst equipment, and it "just works" 👍

Now to the problem...
I'm a rookie when it comes to zabbix, so it might be an error from my side, but I have done my best to follow your README's

I have imported the ZBX-DELL-POWERECONNECT-INTERFACES, added the if.speed script and checked the zabbix_server.conf.
the SNMP_COMMUNITY is set to the RO community name and INTF_REGEXP is set as in your example.

But no interfaces are discovered. On the other hand, when I run an snmpwalk on interfaces, i get a positive return:

zbx-cisco-interfaces.xml issue

When I use this template,many errors in zabbix_server.log

This is happening for all databases. This is on a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 server running MSSQL v2008R2

On line 873, there are references to a wrong template "KHP-TEMPLATE-STORAGE-DEVICE-INFORTREND". That needs to be changed to "ZBX-IFT-SA".

Template zbx-veeam error to import

Hi,

Zabbix 2.0.6 Version.

When I try to import "zbx-veeam-backup.xml" into Zabbix interface I got this error:

"XML file contains fatal error 41:Specification mandate value for attribute data-pjax-transient [ Line: 27 | Column: 40 ]"

Do you have any idea how can I fix it?

Question for ZBX-CISCO_INTERFACES template

I have installed this template without problems, and installed the scripts and requirements, but I get no interfaces from a router I'm testing to. I have read several times your readme file but I still have no clear what information I have to put on the macro: {$INTF_REGEXP}. Maybe the problem is here.

Could you please tell me what do I have to configure in this macro? And how can I check if the bad configuration is here or is somewhere else?

Template Import Cisco Interfaces and hardware

I try to import both templates, but the data in the template (triggers and items) are both empty.
What's wrong?

Documentation in zbx-cisco-interfaces is different from template

README.md says:

Add to your host the {$INTF_REGEXP} macro with your regular expression as value (ex: -p-|-P-|-pe-|-PE-)

but template uses macro $INTF_REGEX (without 'P'):

{ZBX-CISCO-INTERFACES:ifAlias[{#SNMPVALUE}].regexp({$INTF_REGEX})}=0&{ZBX-CISCO-INTERFACES:ifOperStatus[{#SNMPVALUE}].diff(0)}>0

Also it is very diffucult to understand what it does. What the purpose of that macro? It seems that it does NOT filter out interfaces based on their name. I have several hundreds of TunnelXXX interfaces and to exclude them I had to edit "Network interfaces" discover rule... this has to be explained in README.md too.

I try to import template "ZBX-FORTINET-INTERFACES", but got error:

This is a very bad idea to use ruby for purpose. Running interpreter as ruby, python, php and other is high cost task.
Example:

This is because the if.speed uses {HOST.HOST} and as we do not have a dns record for our switches, it fails.

Suggest changing to {HOST.CONN} so support either DNS or IP.

If it is any help I access my interface information via "show running-config interfaces ethernet 1/g3"

Zabbix 2.2 zbx-veeam returning not supported

I cant track Veeam 7.x jobs because Zabbix returns not supported for the items for this template even with PS script setup.

SQL database discovery

Hi,

I have running Zabbix 2.0.6 and I would like to monitor some databases. I found on your Git in your XML that it has a discovery rule and it wil ask to system.discovery[SQLDB]. In the readme it says I only need to add this:

UserParameter = server.serial,%systemroot%\system32\cscript.exe /nologo /T:30  <zabbix_script_path>\zabbix_mssql_version.vbs

But that doesn't include the system.discovery, that exist in zbx-windows-envmon. I added the zabbix_win_system_discovery.vbs, but that doesn't support SQLDB I suppose.

You did have the mssql-template running? Did you also have the code for the SQLDB discovery? I think it only has to find the databases and give it in Json back. Currently I'm running Windows 2008 with SQL Server 2012.

Cannot find value map "Zabbix agent failed/successful status" used for item "DNS resolution" on "ZBX-WINDOWS-ENVMON".

Hi All!

I´m very new to Zabbix and I have no experience with it. I was asked by my boss to find a solution to monitor the ISL of all the SANs and to creata a automaticaly a weekly report of the bandwidth usage of it.

I downloaded the 2.0.6 appliance and launch it with the VM Player on a Windows Server 2003, where also BNA is running (as a backup unit).

I have modifyed the zabbix_server.conf and set the External Script folder.
ExternalScripts=/etc/zabbix/externalscripts
This folder is recognized by Zabbix, as I have created an test item with a small shell script to see if it works.
Then in /etc/zabbix/externalscripts directory I place echo.something script with appropriate permissions.

I also have added the two value mapping requested in the install guide.

1. But, I have no idea how to continue. What have I to do with this echo.something? create an item in Zabbi?
2. Each time I try to import the brocade xml files, I get the error:
   XML file contains fatal error 41:Specification mandate value for attribute data-pjax-transient [ Line: 28 | Column: 40 ].

I can not download it with CURL, as I have no internet connection, so I have do it localy.

Any suggestion? Someone did managed to install ans setup it correctly? Any screenshots?

Windows Envmonitor Not Supported by Zabbix 2.2.1

Having a issue with zbx_windows_envmon with the template. When it is calling a vbs script from zabbix 2.2.1 it is giving a not supported error in the items list.

Is the template not supported in the 2.2 version?

Or did I miss something?
