detexify's Issues

Add an homescreen icon for iOS devices

I personally use Detexify on my iPad, so I added a shortcut to my homescreen, but it doesn't have an icon. (It defaults to a very small site preview) This isn't really a big problem, but it would be a very small nice to have.

If you have a bigger version of the favicon, we could set it as an homescreen icon. (Or something else)

Homescreen icons can be added by adding the following line to the <head> section of the document:
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/path/to/icon/apple-touch-icon.png">

Copy to clipboard button

Something I've wanted for a while is a "copy to clipboard" button to copy the appropriate latex code (and perhaps train detexify as well). This way I could use detexify, click the button and then switch back to my editor and paste it in. Github has such a button to help cloning a repository and I use it a lot. Unfortunately, I think their button is flash so there may not be a nice javascript way to do it. I don't think it would be as important on the mobile apps, although it may be easier to implement there.

\urcorner and \ulcorner

Hello,

I noticed that detexify doesn't give good suggestions for "Quine quotes" (http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/109390/typesetting-quine-quotes). Specifically, it doesn't have \urcorner and \ulcorner, which are defined in package amssymb, in the database.

The other suggestions listed are not great, as they are symbols rather than delimeters so don't scale up to fit the text inside. Also, the top option (from package tipa) appears to mess up spacing in the entire document.

I just thought I'd drop a line since the symbol didn't appear, and these quotes are used quite commonly. And thanks for all the time detexify has saved me!

Pen inertia a la inkscape calligraphy tool

It is a lot easier to draw smooth curves, when the pen has a little bit of inertia. If you don't know what I mean, try the calligraphy tool in inkscape and raise the mass setting. Maybe this would also make analysis of the drawings easier?

Link to Wikipedia page describing symbol

I often use Detexify + Wikipedia to find out what a mathematical symbol means. It would simplify the workflow if the Detexify front end displayed a link for each result to a corresponding article on Wikipedia.

Infinite scrolling in the interface

In the past, after clicking "show more results" the interface showed a list with all the symbols.
Nowdays, the interface show chunks of symbols and to get the next chunk you need to click
on the "show more" link. It would be better an infinite scroll that could get automatically the next chunk. It would improve the UX.

\widehat{=} symbol โ‰™

Thank you for this awesome project.

Sadly The unicode character U+2259 โ‰™ is not included.
Latex code: \widehat{=}
