Extreme price (x8) applies only base config of both RD-253 and RD-109. Alternative configs have reasonable price and build time. The game pushes to use fictional LVs.

Not on the discord, so there might be a more elegant temporary fix there, but here's a "works on my machine" MM patch until 3121cdc gets released:
