We are ready with this repository to cut 1.23 release and tag recent commit with providers/v0.23.0. Could you handle this?

Tag providers/v0.23.0: https://github.com/kubernetes/cloud-provider-gcp/tags

I didn't tag a new CCM since the code regarding ccm should remain unchanged. Please let me know if a new CCM tag is needed.

Thanks @cici37 ! Do you also plan to publish container images?

For your reference:

• cloud-provider-aws - has available container images from v1.18 to v1.24 in registry.k8s.io/provider-aws/cloud-controller-manager. Ref https://github.com/kubernetes/cloud-provider-aws/tree/v1.24.0#compatibility-with-kubernetes
• cloud-provider-azure - project is GA since a lot of time and has container images in mcr.microsoft.com/oss/kubernetes/azure-cloud-controller-manager. Ref https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/cloud-provider-azure/tree/v1.24.0#version-matrix
• cloud-provider-openstack - GA since years

I am not expert in the area but looks like GCP is the last provider that has in-tree CCM implementation and out-of-tree CCM that is not ready for consumption yet.

Releasing images is something that is on our roadmap (something ~soonish), however I'm unable to provide a strict ETA on this. There already exists #289 which covers image publishing process. Closing this issue as release 1.23 is cut.
