latex-yearly-planner's Issues

Page link errors in 2021.sn_a5x.planner.sunday.pdf

In the 2021.sn_a5x.planner.sunday.pdf file, on the Daily page, Notes -> More and Reflect links do not work; they just send you to the cover page of the PDF. The links work fine in 2021.sn_a5x.planner.daily-with-cal.sunday.pdf so this looks like a bug.

Also from the Daily page, January 1 -> Week 53 link doesn't go to the proper page (p. 19 of the PDF). It goes to the cover instead as well.

Same errors in the 2022 file, too.

A colorful pdf template for default blank ink on e-ink device

I have a remarkable and the black ink looks good for reading and writing on it. I tried using blue ink and red ink for export but they don't render well in terms of color in my remarkable.

When I check the render output in my tablet and my phone, it looks good in terms of color output.

If I write everything with black ink, it looks dull and very hard to read with black color of template in normal tablet or mobile.

To make it better for ink tablet and for color devices, it would be nice to have PDF with colors and written part by a user as black for better reading and viewing experience.

Week numbering with Sunday start of week

The numbering of the week does not change when using Sunday as the start of the week resulting in behavior such as in March in the image below. Any time there is a week consisting of just a Sunday on a monthly calendar it uses the previous week value instead of the next week as one would expect. This is also represented on the daily page for that date.

ToDo pages not available on latest release

Hi!

First of all, awesome job! Your proficiency in LaTeX is astonishing!

On the calendar I was using foe 2021 there were some ToDo pages added which are not available in latest release for 2022. Can they be added back or have they been removed for a reason? They were helpful at least for me :)

Thanks

Left-Hand support for Supernote A5X

Hi! I love this planner, but as a lefty with a Supernote, I often accidentally flip to monthly calendars as I'm trying to write. Is there an easy way to get the months and quarters down the right side vs. the left?

EDIT - I use the Sunday start version. Happy to do it myself, once I can take some time to learn how. (Not starting from scratch.... been a computer scientist for >20 years.

Also, #IStandWithUkraine.

Extra notes pages

First, thank you for this, it’s excellent.

I’m using the daily planner but I take a lot of notes per day. Can we have more pages per day? 4?

Feature request: dream journal

Love this project! I've forked it and made my own version with much satisfaction.

However, I'm missing a dream journal per day that I can use to make track of my daily dreams.
This is the other half of my daily planner - a night journal.

Personally, I use a modified version of this template where per day I have a few places I can draw and write notes per drawing.

Please consider making this an optional template.

Custom year window

Hello @kudrykv,

As I mentioned in discussion I wish to have my planner begin in September to fit a school year. As you explained, this is not easy to implement so far, but maybe you can put it on a road map.

Thank you and good luck.

kindle scribe

Hi, it is possible to create the planners with Kindle Scribe resolution? (should be 1860x2480)
Great job, BTW!

Support for Left Handed Configuration.

I see there is a margin on the left side on the RM2 version for the menu bar. Is there an ability to put the margin on the right side instead to support devices configured for left hand?

Where to implement changes to the daily page template?

Hi @kudrykv!

Thanks for this amazing project!

I would like to change the daily page template, and I was hoping you could point me in the right direction where to implement the changes.

More specifically, I would like to update the daily page template as follows:

adjusted-daily-page-template

I have the .tex for the template above and can probably find my way around go. However, I have difficulty understanding the structure of the project. I would greatly appreciate it if you could:

  1. point me to where I can make the changes
  2. indicate how to disable specific parts of the planner (e.g., the notes pages)

I prefer to generate the .tex files that can be readily compiled and avoid having to process them further manually.

Thanks a lot for any bit of help!

Kanban Board

Discussed in #28

Hi ! ✋🏻

Is there a way to implement a Kanban Board in weekly pages ?
It would be so cool to work with !

Thanks for your amazing job 🚀

Day view accidental clicks

Hi! I love this planner, but although I'm a right-handed person I find myself accidentally clicking with my palm on the "Reflect" or "All notes" options when trying to write some "Top priorities".

Did anyone else face these issues with this current layout?
I find it difficult to manage the "Top priorities" while having other clickables in the middle of the page.

Changing the default font

Great project!
How do I change the font used throughout the PDF?
I'm sure a number of people would want to change it
(I tried editing the document.tpl but it didn't work)

Sunday first layout?

I see that the calendars all start on Monday. Any plan to create a Sunday starting version? That's the standard in the US. Thank you for considering!

v.0.0.8 release script fails

Hi,

I really like the yearly planner! Good job!
I want to customize a few headings, but it seems that I am unable to run the release script. I have already tested the v.0.0.7 script, which seems to work.

Here is the error:

./out/quarterly.tex:51: Missing number, treated as zero.
<to be read again>
                   \hbox

(That makes 100 errors; please try again.)
./out/quarterly.tex:51: ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!
Transcript written on ./out/sn_a5x.breadcrumb.default.log.

The above errors are repeated quite a few times.

Inquiry: Customizing Planner Request

Hello, thank you for releasing this calendar! I would like to include a log template to each day as well as a workout log for every other day of the week. Do you know how I can do this in .tex or other methods?

Different Start Times?

Firstly, I LOVE this planner. Hugely helpful for supernote users... what a gift you have bestowed on mankind.

One thing I have an issue with is when I'm planning my day, I usually start working at 7:15 am, so I will have meetings/administrative tasks that I can't add because the template starts at 9am

Any chance we could make a 7am-7pm template for remainder of 2022 and 23/24?

Beggars and Choosers I know :) But it would be a huge help

Add description of what parts of file names are

Hello Kudrykv,

Thank you for your work and the releases here: https://github.com/kudrykv/latex-yearly-planner/releases/tag/v0.0.8

Could you please add a table in the readme of what all the pieces of the file names are?

For example

Name Component Definition
Breadcrum Navigation bar at the top of daily page is a bread crumb of where the pages is
dotted Notes on the daily page are a grid of dots as opposed to lines
...

I was not able to figure out what ampm means, or the difference between dailycal

Adjust calendar size on quarterly page

I successfully changed the font and everything seems to behave except the monthly calendars on the quarterly page. They're all slightly different in size and overlap the adjacent lines to some extent. What edits would one make to keep the calendars a consistent size and correct this?

quarterly

2022-2032 Planner PDFs

Would it be possible to generate a 2024 PDF same as the default here but with a slight tweak--change the daily time schedule from 07 to 18?

Reflect sections for the week, month, quarter and year

I really like the dedicated daily reflect page, and was wondering if it would be possible to add in a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reflect sections?

It can be something very similar (weekly/monthly summary, gratefulness, milestones/challenges, weekly/monthly log).

Direct link to Notes on every page ?

Hi,
First, thanks for this great work ! I'm discovering the templates with my new Boox Note Air and it is really interesting.
Yet, I wish I could go straight to the 'All Notes' page index from the 'Month' view or the 'Week' view (from any page in fact). I don't know if anyone would share my thoughts…
By the way, good point (for me) to keep only 'Notes' instead of having both 'Notes' and 'Todo'.
Thanks again.
