IPython Notebook in a convenient Mac app

I'm on OS X 10.9 running version 1.10 of the notebook. Sometimes, when I try to open the app, the program gives the following error:
Unable to launch iPython notebook
Server failed to start up
Other times, the notebook loads just fine.
I checked the system logs and there are many entries that show up at the time the notebook was loading:

any plans to update?
Like in Xcode, Cmd-R should run the code. Suggested by @jesolem.
I've probably missed something obvious but how do you change the default document folder once it has been set during first run?
Hey there!
I'd like to use this as a base for an IHaskell app. Effectively, I'd like to use this awesome application but substitute in the Haskell GHC kernel instead of Python. My plan is to fork this, then figure out how to bundle the GHC compiler with it, and clean up all the shell scripts to install what I need for Haskell instead of Python (since I wouldn't need anything along the lines of OpenCV or SciPy).
Is there anything you'd like me to do differently? The LICENSE specifies that I should use different artwork, so I will do that.
Hi,
I'm trying to compile this on 10.7.5 (as provided binary target only 10.8+)
As I haven't open XCode in years, I'm a little lost in the error messages, I think you can maybe enlighten me...
I can't even find those damned script in the folder structure.
Otherwise, I saw you message on IPython hipchat,
we are not pinged when SO connect, don't hesitate to come to dev room and ping @ALL.
or send a message to the User ML. Most of the core dev have also notification for ipython on Stack Overflow.
Eager to test native notebook application.
for instance,
the pre-installed scikit-learn is 0.14. How can install 0.15?
I have 0.15 installed on my system (OSX), but the notebook only picks 0.14.
Would be nice to have.
Tring to run sytem (bash) commands like :
ls
or other command with the "!" prefix
i got this error : https://gist.github.com/epifanio/5148696
cd dir
pwd
are working fine instead
This is really cool.
Hacking around a little bitβ¦
$ cd /Applications/IPython Notebook.app/Contents/Resources/virtualenv
$ source bin/activate
$ which pip
/usr/local/share/python/pip
