Perler Mini Template - A few changes possibly needed

Hey I was using the template (Perler Minis + Artkal C Series) and it gave me P38 Magenta as a color. I can't find this color existing for the Perler Minis. I also noticed one color missing (P10 - Dark Green)

Missing
P10 - Dark Green (Available for purchase on the Perler website)

Color Doesn't Exist
P38 - Magenta (What's weird is this color exists for both Perler Caps & Regular Perler but not for minis)

Color may soon be out of production (Still exists on other websites but not on Perler's website for purchase)
P92 - Dark Gray

Layout

So I noticed when using your website that you can't tell the difference between the background and the (object) so if you could fix it that would be great. and if you could do feedback my email I want to send back is [email protected]

RGB value don't correspond to official sheet

Hey there !

I am doing an app to calculate euclidian distance between two colors in order to find which bead color is closest to a given color (chances are this is exactly what you're doing with your beadifier but it's a school project and i found out about yours way too late ahah)

So I needed beads references and values and ended up on your beadcolors online page (which is really great ๐Ÿ‘Œ).
I gathered all values and made a json but i need the RGB values.
I converted the hex values to RGB and added them to my objects smoothly.

But then i compared the RGB values i got to the actual values given by the brand Artkal and they don't match.

For example :
your S01 - White - #EAEEF3 - r:234 g:238 b:243 while artkal gives r:255 g:255 b:255
your S02 - Burning Sand - #EE927C - r:238 g:146 b:124 while artkal gives r:255 g:263 b:139 (I realize as i write that 263 makes absolutly no sense)
your S03 - Tangerine - #FFA630 - r:255 g:166 b:48 while artkal gives r:246 g:176 b:76

Every color I checked at random was different
Do you have any idea where these differences could come from ? I don't how who to trust ahah (given that artkal sheet feels sketchy with its 263)

Hopping we can get to the bottom of this :)
Have a nice one !

Color for Hama - Mini

Hello,

Looks like color don't change with the choice of beads type.

Actually i set MINI type and the Beadifier still propose colors which're only available for MIDI beads. (H61 to H64, for example)

Thanks for your work anyway !

Regards, Olivier.

Perler Caps Palette?

Really enjoy Beadifier a lot! Was wondering if it would be possible to add a Palette for just the Perler Caps? There's only 26 colors at the moment and it's not really known if Perler will continue support

New Hama colors 95 - 98

Hama has added some new colors recently, namely 95 - 98

https://www.hama.dk/media/102647/colour-chart.pdf
https://www.hama.dk/media/102654/99199_artikel1.pdf

I was looking into adding them myself and submitting a PR, but I am unsure what method should be used to properly get an approximate color. I tried color picking the beads in the second PDF in gimp to compare them with the values for the current colors but they were a bit off so I am uncertain if this is an acceptable approach or if there is a more proper way? Also the images in the PDF is kinda low quality so depending on where you pick the color it can vary.

Tying Symbols to colours

Over on this issue we spoke about having an option to translate each bead colour into a symbol on export. This gives more options when exporting and allows for different pdf patterns to be generated.

The task at hand now is to try and figure out how these symbols should be generated and we are throwing ideas around based on if we should use Emoji, SVG Fonts (FontAwesome etc) or Unicode characters.

This will involve generating a new API version with this new symbol item added as an option.

Open to Diamond Dotz for "3d Painting"?

A similar art project is something referred to as "Diamond Painting" or "3d painting". There are several brands of small plastic "drills" or "dots", As opposed to beads that are melted together, the dots are placed on a surface that has been covered in an adhesive.

Are you open to hosting the colors for those here as well?

RGB & Hex Values for new Perler Colors (From the PerlyPop App)

These values come from the PerlyPop App (only on iOS from what I read), not sure how accurate they are but it's better than nothing!

Hama midi vs Hama mini (and possibly maxi) color palettes

Currently there is only a single palette for Hama, but some colors only exists as Midi beads while they might be released as Mini later on. I noticed that after #29 is merged, the current palette contains all of the available Mini colors but are missing a few Midi colors. Currently if the missing Midi colors would be added to the single palette, you would have to remember to disable some colors each time when doing mini projects.

Missing Midi colors seems to be 72 - 74. They might be made available as Mini colors in the future, as this has been done before with some of the colors (released as Midi first and then as Mini later on).

Then there are some colors that are missing but I have hard time seeing being used in an application like this, but I mention them anyway if the purpose of this repo is completion, but they would be a headache to include. There are 55 - 57 that are glow-in-the-dark beads that would mess a design up if they were added automatically, and if you want to use them you'd probably design those areas manually where it makes sense to have glow-in-the-dark beads. 61 - 64 are metallic beads which might work or might not work, I've never seen them used and I am unsure if they create a non-shiny uniform color when ironed. If they do actually shine after being ironed, the same problem as as the glow-in-the-dark beads would be present, having weird shiny parts in a design where not intended. 54, 91 and 92 is not suitable either since these are mixed colors with glitter and stripes.

The glow beads, metallic, glitter and stripes would only make sense if they are tagged as such and manual editing of a design was implemented in beadifier, as these kinds of beads could not be added automatically. They also pose some headaches as the product number is the same for different colors, impossible to determine rgb values etc.

Mini Perler Bead Palette

Would there be a way to create a mini Perler bead label/category for ease of use? I can attach the palette I used earlier going by the Perler bead reference sheet. There aren't as many colors as with midi beads.

Missing Artkal C-Mini Colors

Good Evening,

I went through the Artkal C-Series Mini Beads and found that these beads were missing from the palette. I've included the Color Name and RGB Values in case they were needed.

They can be found on Artkal's Website: https://artkalfusebeads.com/pages/c-color-chart
