Reporting missing icons

When reporting missing icons make sure to follow these steps so we can resolve it faster:

For Linux:

  1. Add screenshots of the missing icon and the instances where it's displayed like: menus, taskbars, panels, notifications, etc.
  2. Use the following title prefix (without the quotes): "[Linux] App_name Desktop_environment" - that way we can tag them appropriately.
  3. Add the relevant launcher information, software uses files with the extension .desktop as launchers for menus like Kickoff, Kicker, Mint menu, Gnome Shell overview, Unity dash, Whisker menu, etc. and these launchers are stored in /usr/share/applications (there might be a /kde or /kde4 folder for KDE apps) for software installed through a package or the package manager. User-installed binaries and Google Chrome apps install their launchers here: /home/$USER/.local/share/applications/. Simply open these .desktop files with any text editor; copy and paste the line that says Icon= to your issue.
  4. Add a description of the software, it's very important for us to know what the software does.

Some software uses absolute paths in their launchers, as such even when we add the icon the system will not load it, you may use Hardcoded Icon Fixer to resolve this problem.

luv-icon-theme's Issues

Geany IDE icon

Hi,

That icon pack is very nice !
But i think to add a geany icon will be a good idea.
I can't make it because i don't have the skill, it's just a suggestion.

Add more features to the Flattr folder color GUI

Now that the following issue has been addressed (<a href="#4" class="issue-link"title="
Front-end to use the included scripts">Front-end to use the included scripts #4) the GUI will need improvements or maybe even added features, these ideas can be discussed here.

Using in KDE 4.12.5

Did a git clone of the latest repo. Go to install via the "Customize KDE Icons" in the System Settings and install theme file. When I pick the index.theme.kde, it says it's not a valid theme file. (I copied the entire folder to .icons.)

Release needed for FreeBSD Ports

Ehlo! Great icons there -- I am going to add a FreeBSD port, and that is only possible for releases -- hope for your understanding!

Many icons missing

Hello are many icons missing for example a flat icon for the internet category many apps like Choqok zsnes VBA-M (gvbam) distribution logos for the menus and many more wat i do not remember well, fixing this issue I will use them :)

Change path of outputfolder in tools/folder-color-changer/change-colors

After moving the change-colors script into subdirectory script can't work properly, it exits with error "places-folders not found. Exiting".
Change outputfolder="../places/scalable" to outputfolder="../../places/scalable"
and outputfolder="../places/small" to outputfolder="../../places/small".

Front-end to use the included scripts.

The included scripts (kindly made by user caller9) allows users to change the color of the folders but they need a GUI to be user-friendly. The GUI would purposely follow Nitrux guidelines (http://fav.me/d6yjuv2 - so you have an idea) and needs to be done in either Qt or Qt with KDE libraries. This bug will be closed once a GUI is available.

Clementine icon poorly balanced

I unfortunately don't have the experience or time to contribute but I think the clementine icon should be redesigned. It suffers from poor visual balance from left to right. See attached images.

Unrelated, but the dropbox icon does not display at the same size as the network icon under KDE.

Icons suggestions

New icon

Is it possible to have a icon for MusicBrainz-Picard? This is for KDE. Thanks....

missing format-indent-less

Hello,

First I'd like to thank you for this awesome icon theme.

I am missing the format-indent-less icon (format-indent-more already exists).

See the attached screenshot:

Icons for xfce4 common applets

Hello, everyone.

I've been pretty happy using this icon theme through the last year or so. I just loved to make the last pull and see the changes and the added icons.

The only thing I'm missing is a more beautifull set of icons for xfce4 applets, like bateries and sound. XFCE4 also comes with nice dark icons that you could use to base this expantion.

If I were good with images I'd do it myself, but it's just not the kind of thing I can do well. Hope you can expand the theme. Thanks a lot for the great job done here.!

Lots of blank icons recently?

I understand that non-compliant icons have been removed but a lot of .svg files are just blank for me. Is this intended?

Xnoise panel symbolic icon is needed

Hello @UriHerrera can you make a Xnoise panel symbolic icon?

icon=xnoise-panel

xnoise-panel

please add it soon as possible, before the official Manjaro's final release if you can you only need to take the X symbol 😄

Other icon sizes

In the case of folder, application, and mimetype icons, other sizes (e.g. 22, 24, and 48) are necessary; see the screenshots below for examples.

Color script path

Seems the the path in change_all_folders.sh needs it's path adjusted, this one works:
https://gist.github.com/demmm/9025705

Tried adding scalable/folder-development.svg (line 27), but that results in an error. Any way to adjust that folder with the rest?

Chrome Dev has wrong icon

The Canary icon is used for the Dev build. The stable icon should be used instead.

The icon of Chrome Dev (called google-chrome-unstable) should be symlinked to google-chrome.

There is currently no Chrome Canary on Linux and probably there won't be any [source].

Folders doesn't show with the flattr icon

Hi everyone, first time using github to post an issue, I hope I'm not breaking any written or unwritten rule while I do so, in that case I hope you can bear with me.
For some reason my icons doesn't show with the flattr icon theme icon for the folders.
Specific folders (music, pictures...) does, general folders do not.
My description might not be the best around so here's a picture to make it easier to understand what I mean: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v8bibsxk89vwqrm/2014-09-21-232241_1366x768_scrot.png?dl=0

Link to sublime-text icon

Please create a symlink from
"apps/scalable/sublime-text.svg" to "apps/scalable/sublime_text.svg"
otherwise sublime text has always his own "default" icon.

Missing symbolic icons in Gnome 3.10

I have not tested if in another version of Gnome this happens, but in Gnome 3.10 status icons like the volume and power icons and other UI elements are invisible. If I was more familiar with how Gnome icons work I would fork and fix this problem. If you do not have the time, I would be glad to research and fix this problem myself.

dconf Editor/Simple Scan icon request; Chrome icons question

Hey, love this icon set; just wondering if it'd be possible to add icons for dconf Editor (dconf-editor), Simple Scan (scanner), and mpv (mpv)?

Also, the Chrome icons don't appear to render correctly: whereas all the other icons render perfectly smoothly, any of the Chrome icons appear to be slightly grainy, especially around the central circle. I tried resolving this myself but without luck. See below screenshot:

Running on Arch Linux x86_64, GNOME Shell 3.12.2.

Most system tool icons are the same

For example, I can't tell the difference the default Ubuntu system settings and the advanced settings if they're both in my dock. A bit more diversity (even just different colors) would be better imo. I may try to do something about it myself though it'll likely fail pretty horribly lol. The tool icons (the screwdriver and wrench) also look a bit big and bulky compared to other icons.

Missing kde file icons

Icons like .pdf .html .css .styl .everythingdoyousee is missing, and it use their fallback mode oxygen icons.

Nope, i'm not a designer and i just doing a report of this, isn't an demand :)

Flattr icons missing

Theme not applying to Apps

After the theme is being applied everything changes it's icons except for the apps and the indicator icon
I copied the entire contents of ,zip file to /usr/share/icons
Please help

Nice icons - bad license

Not directly a bug - but the nc license make the icon theme not really suitable for debian based distributions which follow the dsfg. In other words, we like the icon-theme, but can put it only in our non-free repository and can't make the icon theme standard, as we don't ship any non-free software in the sense of dsfg on our isos. So why would one make himself the effort to pack it? :(

Earlier versions Were the better than 1.0

is just my personal opinion, but the artwork you had in earlier versions of flattr seemed to me much better, more enjoyable and implmentables icons both KDE and gtk systems, the current work seems immature and lacking in personality already had the project, hopefully draw back parts of the previous job as beautiful icons from folders you wore using since the beginning of development. do an excellent art work and hopefully follow so.

some missing icons

hey there!
some missing icons like
Teamspeak
Guake
Iceweasel (has the standard internet icon)
DesMume

modify status icons color

Would you consider adding the possibility to apply different colors via css file to status icons?

wi-fi and volume panel indicator icons bugged their color

Using xfce on manjaro with flattr icons git package: updated last week and the wi fi and volume indicator icons in the tray became dark grey colored, while other tray icons like dropbox etc... stay white. So i cannot make the panel white, nor I can make the panel black.

Sync Flattr with Nitrux

Flattr is way behind in terms of icon coverage with Nitrux, once Flattr has the same icons as Nitrux this issue will be closed. This bug covers all missing icons (apps, actions, categories, devices, mime-types, places, status).

Icons not showing in KDE

Just pulled the updates. A lot of icons not showing in the KDE control panel:

It didn't do that before.
Haven't really looked into the issue.

Icon 'package-install' not present in theme

Loving the theme, so far the best theme available. Thanks for making this!

There is one problem though, when I switch to this theme and try to open "Software Center" it gives me an error with the following message:

2014-01-06 14:04:27,000 - softwarecenter.ui.gtk3.app - INFO - setting up proxy 'None'

When I switch back to the default theme I can open "software-center" again without problems.

I am running Elementary OS luna. I guess some Icons are missing. Do you guys know how to fix this?

VBA-M icon suggestion [UPDATED]

hello this is my own work on the Flattr VBA-M icon; is based on the Gameboy micro and I have tried to make the colours fit with the VBA-M's icons colours

The design is flat and have many details, for example the boot logo with my own modifications the buttons and the D-pad

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6VUkpZzqL7hTVFNcjNLa2tFMU0/edit?usp=sharing

I hope see it on Flattr @UriHerrera what do you think?

UPDATE this is another version with not boot screen because it is not properly shown, on this version persist the issue of the text, if somebody know how solve it please say me how or please share with me your own version of the new icon, the older will be deprecated

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6VUkpZzqL7hYlVUMFhiY0V0dDA/edit?usp=sharing

If you like the old icon's boot screen add it manualy; the old one has been deprecated because the D-pad is not consistent on size with the A and B buttons
