Making edits

Edits should be performed on src/ontology/apo-edit.obo. The release products in the root of the repository are generated automatically by the release workflow.

Making a release

A release can be triggered using a GitHub Action. After committing all desired edits to the master branch, open the Actions tab and select the Make release action. Click the "Run workflow" popup and run the workflow from the master branch. The workflow will regenerate the OWL and OBO release files and commit them to the master branch. It will also create a tag based on the current date. This date is used within the versionIRI for the released ontology files. Note: only one release may be run per day, due to the date-based version scheme.

Modify release workflow to generate a PR instead of pushing directly to master

The current workflow works, but it would be safer to generate a pull request.

We should add a release folder for OWL and release OBO, to keep the edit file separate.

Add obofoundry topic to repo metadata

The OBO Foundry has recently created a topics page at https://github.com/topics/obofoundry. It would be great if you could add the obofoundry topic to your repository, since it's currently listed as active in the OBO Foundry. If you're not sure how to do that, follow the instructions here. The main issue for this task is at OBOFoundry/OBOFoundry.github.io#1538 in case you want some more context or to join the larger discussion.

Node 12 actions need to be moved to Node 16

Hey @balhoff, the last few runs have resulted in the following warning

Google says this might be just a quick update of the checkout version?

APO version IRI does not work

The APO version IRI: http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/apo/releases/2020-03-10/apo.owl
direct to a page 'Not found'.

I check the APO purl configuration file, apo.yml, (https://github.com/OBOFoundry/purl.obolibrary.org/blob/master/config/apo.yml).

It does not set the version IRI in the file. It would be good to add in as other OBO Foundry ontologies.
