Gstreamer audio over HDMI is faulty

For build v3.0, playing a video with audio runs into an alsalib error leading to incorrect playback speed resulting in dropped frames and bad audio.

Need to update the Getting Started guide once fixed

make all fails

After following every step of the tutorial everything worked until the late build phase:

I've tried the procedure on freshly installed virtual cloud instances of ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 (hosted at hetzner), both with the same result.

What is going wrong?

repo init fails

repo init -u https://github.com/octavosystems/osd32mp1-debian failed by responsing fatal: Couldn't find remote ref refs/heads/master

It looks like the branch is not "master" but "main".

Adding repo init -u https://github.com/octavosystems/osd32mp1-debian -b main solves the issue.

Updated Linux to 5.10.x, u-boot to 2020.10

Are there any plans to update the kernel to something recent (such as 5.10.x), along with u-boot?

Robert C. Nelson and ST have support for the STM32MP1 using these versions, and it would be nice to have a correctly working SPI driver.
