• Deserialization: Everything should work.

Summary

This crate gives you automatic deserialization of values returned from redis-rs.

Future work

• Work at the redis protocol level instead of redis::Value type.

Update to Serde 1.0

I know you just did the 0.9 upgrade but hopefully this is the last one for a long time. Release notes:

Update to redis-rs 0.9

Hi,

I found that serde-redis is not working with latest redis-rs crate.

Now in code version is limited with: redis = "> 0.5, < 0.9".
I run a local testing with redis set to 0.9.0 and everything works fine for me.

If it's ok, I would suggest a patch with change to redis = "> 0.5, < 1.0".

Update to serde 0.8

Serde v0.8.0 was just released

`deserialize()` type inference issue

When trying to use this method in a chain, rustc can't infer the FromRedisValue type.

Please add explanations and usage examples to docs.rs

Hi, I'm try to implement RESP serialization progress by myself. But sadly found that there are two type of string in redis(Bulk Strings and Simple Strings)...
I'm trying go to source code to find out solution, but here is not implemented :(

Do you have any thought on serialize rust object to both Bulk strings and Simple strings?

Write Error and Display implementations for de::Error

These were stubbed out during initial construction. See below.

Redis Streams support

Commands like XADD / XREAD / XRANGE use slices of field/value pairs. Perhaps this library could support that use case as well
