When a guider is shown, it positions itself relative to the position of its
attached element. Are you rerendering the target element AFTER showing a
guider?
I could also add a .position method.

I think the way to do this is to hide and re-show the guider, in that case. Every time you show a guider, it gets positioned against the element its attached to.
