theme-switcher's Issues

Titlebars get out of sync for non-CSD apps

As mentioned in #30 (review), some apps sometimes don't entirely switch from one theme to the other. This occurs whether they're running or not before the theme is switched.

As pictured above, Meld (deb) and Mattermost (flatpak) have a light titlebar even though the theme is set to dark. The steps to recreate this typically involve switching twice (e.g. from dark to light, then back to dark.) In this screenshot, Firefox has the correct dark titlebar, although it's been reported that it's also sometimes affected-- I can recreate it being affected if I turn on the Title Bar option in the customize menu to force it to use a server-side titlebar.

Solarized Theme Addition Suggestion

Please include Solarized Dark/Light theme. I think it meshes well with the target audience of developers.
Especially if you had a time of day swap.

This is a good implementation in gnome that includes icons, cursors, and theme:

Thank you!

Instructions

Can you provide the instructions to compile and install the theme switcher for other distros?

Switching to High Contrast breaks the theming

If you go to Settings -> Universal Access and select High Contrast the icons are enlarged in the top right menu and Activities and other text in the Overview are moved from their correct positions like in this screenshots.

Automatically switch based on time of day

Oftentimes Dark mode is not used as a hard definitive preference but rather as a dynamic adjustment to ambient lighting conditions. Usually at night there are lower levels of ambient light, requiring darker content on screens.

It would be good to allow changing the mode dynamically based on whether Night Light is enabled.

Dark theme screenshot does not match current theme

Currently the screenshot for the dark theme selector in the theme-switcher looks like this:

dark

The theme currently looks like this:
theme

Notice the color of the knob on the volume and sound slider in both images.
