I would expect the theme switcher to allow clicking on the preview images for each theme to change the theme, however, this is not the case. The only thing that can be clicked is the (small) radio button under each option.
Nothing.
Theme reverts to Pop!_OS Dark.
Oftentimes Dark mode is not used as a hard definitive preference but rather as a dynamic adjustment to ambient lighting conditions. Usually at night there are lower levels of ambient light, requiring darker content on screens.
It would be good to allow changing the mode dynamically based on whether Night Light is enabled.
Can you provide the instructions to compile and install the theme switcher for other distros?
When switching themes in gnome-initial-setup, the shell theme does not change. This was apparent when selecting a wifi network and receiving a bright white password dialog box (also the system menu).
The video in pop-os/desktop#83 (review) shows the new default behavior. Dark mode has a new, darker wallpaper. The preview in the switcher shows a light blue background. If we change the light blue to a darker purple, it would look a lot more natural.
Please include Solarized Dark/Light theme. I think it meshes well with the target audience of developers.
Especially if you had a time of day swap.
This is a good implementation in gnome that includes icons, cursors, and theme:

Thank you!
As mentioned in #30 (review), some apps sometimes don't entirely switch from one theme to the other. This occurs whether they're running or not before the theme is switched.
As pictured above, Meld (deb) and Mattermost (flatpak) have a light titlebar even though the theme is set to dark. The steps to recreate this typically involve switching twice (e.g. from dark to light, then back to dark.) In this screenshot, Firefox has the correct dark titlebar, although it's been reported that it's also sometimes affected-- I can recreate it being affected if I turn on the Title Bar
option in the customize menu to force it to use a server-side titlebar.
