As I am pretty much talking to myself here I will be quick.
The first issue was related to the issue I referenced earlier.
The second issue I believe has to do with the fact that can net 4 has some loose connections on it. I am going to take a look at them and see if I am right. For now I will close this issue and if securing those connections doesn't fix this problem then I will reopen. In any case I will post the results after a bit of maintenance.

I can now successfully run ./updateRobot.sh
and it produced the following:
