meta-intelfpga's Issues

Error when running bitbake core-image-minimal

Hi Seb,
I appreciate the work and excellent guides you've written.
When following this guide running the command bitbake core-image-minimal I receive
the following error:

filip@filip-Virtual-Machine:~/poky$ bitbake core-image-minimal
Loading cache: 100% |#################################################################| Time: 0:00:00
Loaded 14 entries from dependency cache.
ERROR: ParseError at /home/filip/poky/meta-intelfpga/recipes-pip/pip/pip-progressbar_3.47.0.bb:9: Could not inherit file classes/setuptools.bbclass

Some thread on SOF suggests that the python version is not matching.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Question

This repo seems to be a fork of the official https://github.com/kraj/meta-altera. I saw that you stripped down lots of code you probably did not need, and changed the readme, so I was just wondering what are the differences from the original in terms of functionalities? Why isn't it a for instead?
Thanks!

Build error when including gator

Hi,

I was testing a build using this layer, and I ran into a bitbake error after including gator. It seems that the recipe fails in the fetch stage:

ERROR: gator-gitAUTOINC+bbc8e31218-r0 do_fetch: Fetcher failure: Unable to find revision bbc8e3121879591f0f85ebbc2d24367c52c547c2 in branch master even from upstream ERROR: gator-gitAUTOINC+bbc8e31218-r0 do_fetch: Fetcher failure for URL: 'git://github.com/ARM-software/gator.git;protocol=http;branch=master'. Unable to fetch URL from any source.

I've looked into it, and it seems the issue is caused by a branch rename in the gator repository, from master to main. I changed the branch name in the gator recipe, and I was able to successfully complete the build, but I wanted to check if this was the correct fix or if there is something I may be missing.

Thanks!
