New feature request: add option to hide tray icon

Hi,

Please consider adding the following feature: an option to Hide the tray icon.
To ensure a minimal control of the program, this new option should be usable only when Enable start/pause hotkey option is ticked.

[Feature Request] - Save current active window / re-activate previously active window

Would it be possible to have an action such as "re-activate previously used window"? Or the ability to save the currently used window and then reference it in the "activate" action?

I'm often on Zoom calls or watching training videos from my laptop and need to keep my Virtual Desktop (Citrix) active. Currently, I have an action sequence that activate the VD window and moves the mouse which prevents it from disconnecting after being idle for X minutes. But then I have to click back to where I was to continue to work, ie Zoom meeting or training site.

I believe the mouse can only move in the primary display...would it be possible to be able to set the targeted display?

parms for script to set settings when launching exe

Hello,

Is there a way to set certain settings via a script?

For example, to check boxes for:

Actions tab

• (set number) second interval
• Move mouse pointer
• Stealth mode (pointer movement not visible)

Behavior tab

• Pause when mouse pointer moved
• Automatically resume after (set number) seconds of inactivity
• Minimise to System Tray

Movemouse staying idle after session lock/unlock

I have come across this issue which I don't think was the case in the past, where the application goes into Idle after a screen/session-lock. The option of "continue performing actions when locked" is (and was in the past) disabled. However when window session is locked, movemouse is in active state but after unlock it goes to idle and remains idle requiring manual re-activation. So if I have locked say 4x times I have to activate it 4x time again which as I said wasn't the case in the past.

I have seen an article on troubleshooting going to idle but don't think that's same as going to idle as result of session lock. So would be great if this can be looked into please. Thanks.

Can we get an option to add a margin of error to the move interval?
This would help prevent showing a pattern of activity at predictable intervals.

[Bug] PC Falls Asleep with Move Mouse Active / Not staying active on Teams

PC keeps falling asleep while using Move Mouse. Defeats the purpose of staying active. I use task scheduler to start/stop the program (schedules don't seem to work for me all the time) and every time I step away and come back, I notice my monitors are off and the PC is asleep. Would prefer not to change power settings.

It's good to keep the Actions' [ ] second interval saved or persistence. There might be other fields that can be saved or persistence also. The data can be saved on change other than a save button.

Taskbar icons not explained

It is unclear what the meaning of the two different taskbar symbols is:

(Switching between these two states is possible by double clicking.)

MouseMove not working properly when Visual Studio is active window

I use this tool to keep my (work) PC from shutting down while idle. MouseMove generally works great. However, I've noticed that if Visual Studio is the active window at the time, the PC shuts down as if MM isn't running. Generally I deal with it by having another app up when I can. I don't know what makes VS different than any other windowed app as far as MM is concerned.

[FEATURE REQUEST]

It would be nice and helpful to add this feature to MOVE MOUSE: Every time that the mouse is manually moved the program switch to pause mode. This is to avoid waiting until the sequence of actions is done to take back control of the cursor. In case you have a long list of actions to run, you have to wait a lot of time to take back control.

Feature Request: Save App Settings in the Same Folder

first off: Thanks a bunch for this awesome app! I've been using it for quite a while now and it perfectly fits my needs <3!

I do have one tiny request though: Is there anyway to add a toggle making the program save the settings in the same folder as the executable? That would make the program truly portable!

Bluetooth mouse "sleep mode"

Hi, your program does a lot of things, many of which I do not grasp. I was looking for a program that would tell my computer "this mouse is in use", because it goes into sleep mode if I don't use it for 30 seconds.
My mouse is called a BT3.0 or BT5.2 mouse, on the internet it shows up as a Microsoft branded mouse. I guess sleep mode is supposed to save the battery, but it's super annoying, because to wake it up, it requires a click, and that click will activate any button that is under the cursor.
I was hoping that Movemouse would tell the computer that the mouse is moving, and therefore don't go into sleep mode. Unfortunately, even when movemouse is active (I can see the cursor doing a little dance), the BT3.0 will go into sleep mode.
Of course, I do not know whether the fault is in settings, or my version of windows, or you didn't design the program to do that. If you would care to try, I can be recruited for assistance.

Crashing on launching GUI or manually starting from system tray

MM was fine until recent config change enabling starting with Windows (10), and minimise to system tray, (possible start minimised too).

MM now starts with Windows (as expected) though crashes silently when trying to manually start from the system tray icon, or (more importantly) opening the GUI from the system tray.

MM runs fine and still functions normally if left alone, though no longer able to access GUI to change settings at all. Appears config is saved somewhere though am unable to clear this config as GUI does not load instead crashing out MM. Have tried launching from different locations, different versions, though no avail.

Win 10: 3.4.1 & 3.5.0 (non-MS Store)

Some corporate Windows environments are extremely locked down and do not have access to the Windows Store. These types of machines are the exact target environment for Move Mouse. Providing a .zip download of the 4.x series (like the old 3.x series) for these locked down Windows 10 environments would be a godsend!

move mouse crashing

hi, i have recently tried to run move mouse 3.5 on windows 7, after running it. i can see the icon on task bar, but i can't start the app or open the app. whenever i tried to start or open it, it crashes and close automatically.

Tracking XY location not working properly

When I try to use this feature, it just oscillates between 3.0 and 2.9 seconds without moving the mouse. Never gets down to 0.

Feature Request - no action while mouse is being moved within the intervall

I use movemouse on our windows automation vms to keep console open for apps that needs active workstation console.
But when I log in, I see the mouse do this square move while I work.

Isn't it possible to not trigger while mouse is being moved. Or is this a feature I've not found :-)

Notification pop-up when Pause and Resume

On Windows 10, a Notification pop-up appears whenever the Action Pauses or Resumes from inactivity. This had not happened before but started today. I could not find the configuration property to disable notifications.

New sleep action is great, but I'd love it if it had a random time interval, such as the one under Behavior.

Currently, with the Sleep action, you can only set it to trigger a specific delay, such as 5 seconds. I'd like to see it have the same time settings as the time under Behavior, where you can set it to between x and X seconds.

P.S. This program is GREAT.

Doesn't stop when user moves the mouse or types.

You can easily reproduce this by setting the distance to 9999. (random)
When 'Move Mouse' is moving the pointer and when I move the mouse during that 'Move Mouse' doesn't stop and keeps moving until the distance is completed.

Please let 'Move Mouse' stop all it's activity immediately the moment the user moves the mouse.

Please also allow to randomize the movement speed during the movement itself.
Even some stops once in a while just like a real user does.

Win10: Cursor moves but OS still goes to screen saver > sleep

Windows Defender detects a trojan

Hi!

I just found out that there is a new version of your program, used the 3.6 version till now.

But when i tried to open the zip archive, my Windows Defender kicks in end tells me it found some trojan thing..

VirusTotal has only one finding, so I think its a false positiv:

Where is the "send keystroke" action in 4.x?

In 3.x, there was the ability to have the application mimic pressing a keyboard key on the intervals. I do not see any sort of functionality in the 4.x versions. Where is it?

Win10 store won't open for me and probably other people too who don't have the "full microsoft bloat" installed that comes with some versions of win10.

Feature Request - Minimize to Taskbar

I love this little app! The problem I've found is the big "mouse" image remains on my desktop. I would like to be able to minimize it to the taskbar so if I share my screen, it's not on display for everyone to see. Is this possible? Is there already a way to minimize the application? Thanks

schedule does not activate the next morning

move mouse is in the tray however it does not seem active as my screen locks. I exit/end the program and restart and all is fine the schedule ends at the time specified however next day does not activate at the start time specified. is mouse move dependent on other tasks or scheduler that I may have disabled perhaps? TY!

Pause on full screen

It would be great to have an option to pause the app while in full screen with some application or browser, because for example, I would like to watch a video in full screen without the mouse moving and activating the controls every 10 seconds. Or for example, when I enter a game and I don't want it to move every so often when I'm not active.

By the way, very good application.

Hello, I would like to request feature ( option) to be added to MouseMove.

I would like to have option to dissable / pause MoveMouse app or actions when running on battery, to allow my screen go to sleep when running from battery and automatically start actions again when laptop is connected to charger.

app window intermittently opening

This has been going on for a while and am just coming in to see if anyone else may have run into this.

I am running Win7 through a vm on my MacBook Pro and after upgrading to 3.5.0, the app window intermittently opens. I will minimize it, but it never goes back into the systray after the first opening. I have uninstalled and reinstalled; downloaded a new copy, uninstalled and installed the fresh copy with the same behavior.

Just curious to see what anyone might have on this.

Uninstalling the program

Hey, I noticed the program downloaded and installed something on my machine. Now I want to uninstall it but I do not see an option to do so. It doesn't appear in the Programs Installed windows list.

Win10: mm 3.5.0 crashes silently

I downloaded the 3.5.0 exe, regardless of whether I run as admin or not, the app loads up the tray icon, and then closes silently when I try to load up the GUI.

Stopped working after user activity

Not sure what triggered the issue cause it persists with older version of the software as well but it will not work if i turn on the option to pause the app when user action is detected. It never restarts again no matter how long i wait and i have it set to 5 seconds. If I turn off user activity pause it will work fine. I did just get a windows update the other day.

Feature Request - Variability in scheduled start/stop times

Basically title. Seems suspicious that you show online at the same time every morning - could there be an option to randomly stray from the scheduled time by +/- x minutes?

Feature Request / Issue - Random Start Time

Note: We talked a little bit over email

Would be nice to have a way to set a random start, for example, you select to start between 7.30 and 8 and randomly pick one time between them (like windows task scheduler).

We tried the random waiting time feature, but that will make Mouse Move unresponsive until the random time finishes, and sometimes even crash if you set a high number (like 20 mins).
