extending to a multiplatform support would be awesome

would be great seeing Dark-Basic-Pro running on GNU/Linux, OSX, BSD, Haiku, ArOS, Plan9, OpenIndiana, Android, UBports, etc.
how soon can we see it happening?
or will be a project fork needed instead of extending?
and i guess that directx support needs to be deprecated for allowing an easier multiplatform support?

was checking my pc and found out that microsofts os is ripping my exe files

was checking my pc and found out that microsofts os is ripping my exe files to the point where they were ripping the directx modles to also because of the os doing this found out the dll files in the errors are put in to the exe by the compiler and there os ripping them might be the cause
I seen a wired error show up saying something in temp caused the error so I looked found at that folder and when I click one of my exe that I made a folder in user\your pc name here\appdata\local\temp made a rip in a new folder if you dont believe me open the folder so you can see it and the exe and click the exe you will see a folder show up in the temp folder open it and you will see it rip your exe in real time this is fucked because that means they are steeling from people in are software open should talk to them and show them steeling from us is wrong also in that folder that is the exe rip you will find the dlls that the compiler puts in the exe and they are the error messages think it is because they were ripping them as they booted Microsoft is a terrorist

Running as Interpreter?

I am on the hunt for an Object-Oriented BASIC interpreter which I can embed into an application as a type of VBA application language and have just come across Dark Basic Pro.

I see that it can be run as a compiler, but can it also be embedded as an interpreter which would also allow for stepping through in a debugger as well?

Hello I'm new to Dark AI for DarkBasic Pro is there any documentation on how to use Dark AI specifically for 2D games?

Cannot create file - dbpro editor

Downloaded a fresh version from Github, ran the launch.exe application and upon trying to compile any basic dbpro program (such as hello world) I received the following error message:

Cannot create file E:\Github\FPS-Creator-Classic\Dark Basic Pro Shared\Dark Basic Pro\Temp_Temp.dbpro

Does it copy/return 4 bytes from 2 byte word ?

DARKSDK DWORD CastFtoW(float fValue)  {
  WORD result = (WORD)fValue;
  return *((DWORD*)&result);
}

I mean if you cast a pointer of 2 byte value to pointer of 4 byte value return *((DWORD*)&result); will read two more bytes !

No updates, is this abandoned?

Hi been about a month since the last update. The IDE is still broken, shadows don't work on platforms 8.1 and 10 and it gives game guru error messages instead of dbpro error messages.

Is this project not being managed and updated anymore? Is it dead?

how to install

Dark AI - 040906.zip

to fix it go to the editor folder and open Synergy Editor.cfg (open it with notepad) and look for DBPLocation there you will see
that the file path is F:\TGCSHARED\Dark-Basic-Pro\Install\ change the F:\ to c:\ and put the files in the folders named (in other words in c:\ make a folder called TGCSHARED and in it make another folder called Dark-Basic-Pro paste the install folder into that) and it will find the Compiler. after that it will work fine, to install the plugins run there install and when it gets to the part called choose destination hit browse and install in to your install folder . C:\TGCSHARED\Dark-Basic-Pro\Install\

IDE Advert's issue

Hi the IDE has the old advert system for the free edition, the adverts are not working it's just showing the new TGC website.

compiled project will not run properly.

Ok, I downloaded the most up to date version from this site.
I run DBPro.
I type in a short "hello world" project.
print "Hello World"
wait key
F5 - compiles with no errors other then no icon specified
The run screen flashes on and shuts down in less then a second. It does nothing else.
I load the sample project "Hello World". IT runs just fine. ALL of the sample projects run just fine.
If I try to edit one of the sample projects, IT TOTALLY IGNORES THE CHANGES and runs the un-edited project. instead.
any ideas?

Dark AI / Dark Shader / Fate of these plugins?

Hi,

TGC owns AI and Shader. What's the fate of these plugins? Are they being sold anymore? Are they going open source? Are they simply being abandoned and will they be left unsupported.
