starraiders's Introduction

Star Raiders for Atari 800

Typed in from scanned hardcopies. The symbol table (pages 113-116) is not included. (After 144KiBy you'd also be reluctant to type in anything that wasn't absolutely necessary!)

starraiders's Issues

"Works in Progress" directory

Issue:

  • I was able to complete a page before my request to reserve it in the Works in Progress directory was accepted. #15
  • When I saw 0 open issues I wondered if there were only 70 pages and the project was complete.
  • The page numbering on the archive's document viewer was not immediately obvious.

Proposed solution:

  • Create an issue for each of the remaining pages.
  • Direct contributors to reserve them with a comment.
  • Provide a direct link to each page. Example: Link to page 71

008: Unidentified mark

Between lines $D013 and $D400 (TRIG3 and ANTIC)
Seems to be comment "line"; is there gunk on the page?

002: Variable Name

Line $0067 (second line?!) "PRGCST", "PRG0ST", "PROCST", or "PRO0ST"??

010: Syntax Error?

Page 10 begins with "EQUATES", as if it were the continuation of the comment on page 8, but there's no corresponding semicolon. There are also blank lines which may (or may not) be semicolons in odd places.

[STOP!] Page Numbers

It's clear that there's a page numbering problem, probably stemming from this. Please hold off until this problem is fixed.

Missing Padding on 001-003

Blank spaces need to be prepended to lines in pages 1-3 (they predate the "AAAA BB CC DD TAB ETC" format).
