I can create one but it's good if you add lib.pro file for learner(Qt) users.

About your choosing VLC to be the audio engine

Being a complete noob, please excuse me, if what I'm going to say is irrelevant based on foolish assumptions.

As for your choosing VLC to be the audio engine: VLC doesn't support gapless playback and reading its forums it seems very unlikely that it's going to have this crucial feature. It's crucial because those gaps at the end of tracks are virtually gaps in the middle of the music itself in many gapless albums.

But MPlayer2 supports gapless playback and even bit perfect audio output as well. There's a failure of implementation in GUI apps, but SMplayer2's developer has taken immediate action to solve this issue (https://github.com/lachs0r/SMPlayer2/issues/22). And he's also willing to make S/Mplayer2 the one stop solution for all things media, that is, without the bloat (https://github.com/lachs0r/SMPlayer2/issues/23).
