I'm not at my computer right now to check your file but based on the error it seems you have an object in your scene that isn't linked to the armature that controls it, so when trying to find the armature to export it's bones the explorer is giving a null pointer error.
This is certainly a bug because at least it should just silently not export the armature, but I'll take a look to see if I find the root cause of the exporter not finding it in the first place

Sorry for taking so long to answer. Right now I'm completely out of free time to work on this so I can't make promises, but I'll keep this issue open until I do have the time.

All good, I have just been using the command line version for now and it's been working fine
