This repository contains a collection of files, scripts, manuals and other things that can be used to setup the Care-O-bot, other robots or computers at @ipa320. Furthermore, it contains backups and configuration files.

check locale settings (stud pcs and robot pcs)

in order to prevent the following warning from gazebo:

Error [Param.cc:181] Unable to set value [1,0471975511965976] for key[horizontal_fov]
Error [Param.cc:181] Unable to set value [0,100000001] for key[near]

the locale needs to be set properly, i.e. export LC_NUMERIC="C"

create script to install packages on all cob-stud pc's

collect ssh keys from all cob-stud pc's
write script to install packages (packages to install should be an argument)

setup data backup system

use Ubuntu server version for robot installation

MDL says ROS works much faster with the server version (booting, lot of processes/nodes)

provide substitution pc if cob_kitchen_server crashes in a way that at least network is working again (better: userlogin and home directories can be recovered too)

create plan timetable and pc usage by students

we should have a plan (maybe online document?) where everybody can see which cob-stud pc is used by which student at the moment and which one will be free the next month for a new student

improve Coding Guidelines
