Please add support for these new buzzwords

Currently not supporting the following upcoming buzzwords:

• multi-cloud (would suggest multi-butt)
• cloud agnostic (my suggestion would be butt agnostic)

On Facebook you must reload the page for the changes to take effect

I forked to change some of my friends names to nicknames but it requires the page to be refreshed for the changes to take effect. Possible issue due to Ajax?

Doesn't work on Gmail or Outlook?

This extension is super great, but it doesn't seem to work on both gmail and outlook? Any ideas as to why that may be?

You can see that it replaced cloudfront.net with buttfront.net which results in the image not get displayed.

Input placeholder text with the word cloud is not affected

please add "serverless" as alternative to "cloud"

Chrome not allowing me to install the extension

I dragged the extension to the extensions page as described in the README, but the enable button is dimmed out, and it says "Not from the Chrome Web Store". I don't see any way to enable it.

If there is some way to enable this extension (ideally without making my Chrome completely insecure), please update the README. Otherwise, why isn't this on the Chrome Web Store? I want to be a Cloud to Butt purist, but this makes it difficult.

Doesn't work on duckduckgo

Lazy saturday afternoon and we're having fun reading up everything search engines show up with 'the cloud'. Realizing that the google filtering had perhaps hidden away some gems from us we decided to hit up duckduckgo. Much to our dismay the plugin is not working. Please bring back the laughter:

Ignore <code> and <pre> blocks

I've had a few instances where I've pasted something from buttfront.net or buttflare.com. If someone's not careful, it could backfire on them. Love the extension, but it should ignore <code> and <pre> blocks.

Words also replaced in textarea

I've been a happy user of this plugin for a few months now, but last week I encountered a slightly annoying problem: the words are also replaced inside textareas.

I just so happened to be modifying a Wordpress theme's functions.php file when this happened:

That broke my theme of course. Maybe an exception can be added to not replace inside textareas?

Publish to addons.mozilla.org

According to https://www.extensiontest.com/test/01101f90-a993-11e7-9f5a-4de5e2dedc5e this extension is actually compatible with Firefox out-of-the-box. It'd be nice if it was submitted to addons.mozilla.org for people to install. DaveRandom/cloud-to-butt-mozilla could then be folded into this project.

Does not work with HTML

HTML like

<i>the</i> cloud

is not properly reflected for replacements.

Github URL broken on Chrome webstore when extension installed

I was trying to send the Github link to this awesome extension to a friend but couldn't remember the URL so I went to the Chromestore to get it. Lo and behold, the extension actually breaks the URL:

Replaces the text 'the cloud' with 'my butt', as well as 'cloud' with 'butt' in certain contexts.

Changes occurences of "butt" or "my butt" to "butt" or "my butt" respectively and only in proper context (not weather sites, if possible).

Not a huge deal but it was confusing at first.

Please add a license

The license of this code is unclear. I know it seems silly, but it would be good if you’d declare a license. The Apache License 2.0, or new-style BSD license would probably be good choices. Or just put the code in the public domain.

Image recognition feature request

• Extension should be able to use computer vision for every picture on page if user asked.
• If there is "cloud" in tags of recognized objects, paste the butt image on the picture in that place.

compilation doesn't work

it gives errors while running after I compile it with chrome

I changed node.classList.indexOf > -1 to node.classList.contains('ace_editor') (this fixed the error)

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'toLowerCase' of undefined

I don't know how to fix the last error

Would be nice to have a blacklist or something, like if I didn't want it to replace soundcloud to soundbutt :)

When using this extension and browsing the washingtonpost.com website normally, Chrome redirects to buttfront.net. This is apparently related to loading of page assets from cloudfront.net.

Make it say something like "this isn't the butt you're looking for".

Rationale:
Users who already have the plugin installed will often go to this repository instead of https://github.com/panicsteve/cloud-to-butt
(e.g. when following the links in the Google webstore, that was where I ended up)

Obviously, it would be easy for the user to manually change the URL, but it's also a perfect opportunity to make a nice joke.

Url schemes should be ignored in markdown

I noticed this little issue when working with github with my butt-to-butt extension enabled: pasted screenshots are replaced to butt.githubusercontent.com upon editing an issue.

Can we blacklist those somehow?

Feature request: Whitelist or presentation mode?

I'm working with an Openstack project and I'd be in trouble if I had cloud-to-butt enabled all the time.

It would be great to have a whitelist solution or maybe a keyboard shortcut to enable a boss/presentation mode. I can't really think of a proposal for a fitting substitution when boss/presentation mode is active, maybe it could be a config option?
