Setup error

Following the install steps I receive a folder not found error

There is an error in the Installation Script when reading registry values, the Path exists in the registry but not the property (Get-ItemProperty -Path $global:SSMS*_RegistryConfigKey -Name InstallDir).

And some suggestions to make the installation/release smaller/better:

• remove the pdb files from the Releases.
• remove the docx file from Releases.
• have common dlls in a shared path in the zip file.
• Confirm which versions to install (I have multiple SSMS instalations)

Although we live in the age of high speed internet, some of us don't really have high speed :(. And some of us work with small disk MS Surface :).

Setup issue

I'm not able to run the add-in, I get this error "The 'SSASQueryAnalyzerSSMSPackage' package did not load correctly"
The file "ActivityLog.xml" has many rows with this error:

220 2018/02/16 08:07:00.523 Error Microsoft.VisualStudio.IDE.ToolboxControlsInstaller.ToolboxInstallerPackage Exception parsing Advertised (under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework) as a version

Is there a dependency on a specific .NET Version that I might not have?

Failed to instal in SSMS v17.6

Quit installation

I run it with Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process
Powershell sucks

Installation in SSMS 18.4

Has anyone been able to install this add-on to the current version of SSMS? Or any of the 18.x versions?

I know the tool appears to be discontinued and according to documentation only SSMS versions up to 17.x are supported.

Setup issue on SSMS 2016

Hi,

I'm trying to install this on my PC which has SSMS 2014 & 2016 installed. When I run the script as an admin it says

SSMS 2016 not founded! ASQA SSMS VSPackage 2016 will NOT be installed!

I just check running without admin permission and it detects SSMS 2016! (But it fails as it doesn't have required access)

SSMS 2016 founded! ASQA SSMS VSPackage 2016 will be installed!

I'm using only 2016 version so I need this on SSMS 2016.
Any help is appreciated.
