There are multiple issues with tempo speed > 1.0, probably all related.
For example skip forward, and chances are pretty good that video and/or audio will be frozen for a few sec or desynchronized.
One workaround is: pause, skip, release pause. Perfect resume of playback.

it means that you can see the desync :) And yes, I think video actually plays faster than 1.5x, as sound speed doesn't seem to change.
